As far as tech debates go, iOS vs Android remains one of the most impassioned topics in tech these days. Spotting the Sun is easy on a cloud-free day, but scientists hoping to learn more about our nearest star have a difficult task when it comes to studying its poles. We get great views of all sides of the Sun as Earth orbits it, but seeing its top and bottom is surprisingly hard.

The European Space Agency has been working on solving this problem by carefully piecing together a number of different images of the Sun’s north pole that were gathered by satellites. Now, for the first time, we have a pretty decent look at our star’s north pole, and it’s pretty neat.

A few weeks ago, Samsung unveiled its next-gen 8nm chip that will likely power several of the Galaxy S10 models next year. Although Apple has a policy of not releasing unit sales for the Apple Watch, it’s no secret that the device has continued to grow in popularity with each passing year. Especially with last year’s Apple Watch Series 3 — an update which at long last introduced cellular functionality — Apple’s wearable has slowly but surely morphed from a niche product into something of a mainstream device.

In light of that, new research data from IDC reveals that Apple during its most recent fiscal quarter shipped approximately 4.2 million Apple Watch units, a substantial increase from the estimated 2.7 million units the company is believed to have shipped during the September quarter of 2017. All told, Apple Watch shipments grew by an impressive 54% year over year.
