Apple rolls out iOS 12.1.1 with broader Dual SIM support, enhanced Live Photos, and more
Apple just released iOS 12.1.1, an update that brings even more features and, of course, bug fixes to an OS release that has been largely successful from the get-go. While iOS 11 was plagued with any number of performance issues, Apple with iOS 12 decided to focus on system stability and reliability, a decision which has paid off swimmingly. As we covered yesterday, iOS 12 adoption already stands at 72%. As a point of reference, iOS 11 at this time last year was only being used by 59% of iOS users.
Now as for what iOS 12.1.1 brings to the table, some of the more notable features include support for Live Photos in FaceTime, haptic touch notifications on the iPhone XR, and wider carrier support for Dual SIM, Some of the bug fixes included in the iOS 12.1.1 update should help improve a few minor issues that users have experienced when using FaceID and the Messages app.

The first ‘Avengers 4’ trailer is coming on Friday, insider says
A report on Monday said that the first Avengers 4 trailer would be released on Wednesday, two days after the new Captain Marvel trailer was supposed to drop. Disney and Marvel did release the new Captain Marvel trailer during Monday Night Football as reported, after airing a short teaser on TV. But we didn’t see similar teasers for Avengers 4 which left the report in question. Now, a new report says the trailer is dropping on Friday instead of Wednesday, and it’s “final” this time around.

Apple’s future AirPods might feature a completely overhauled design
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the AirPods are the best product I bought from Apple in recent years, and I don’t see myself going back to wired headphones in the near future. I’m even more interested to see what Apple does next with future AirPods models, and I don’t just mean swapping the charging case for one that can be recharged wirelessly, which is the rumored marquee feature of the upcoming AirPods 2. Thankfully, a discovery reveals that Apple is indeed working on making a bunch of more exciting changes to its AirPods, which would make them even easier to use.

‘Fortnite’ is getting a third mode that will let you build on your own private island
Years after being announced and then subsequently put through the ringer with alpha and beta tests, Fortnite made its long-awaited debut in July 2017 as an Early Access title. Initially, there was only one mode — a sandbox campaign called Save the World in which players would fight monsters and complete distinct missions. It wasn’t especially well-received, but just a few months later, the Battle Royale mode would shoot Fortnite to the top of the charts.
Now, over a year after Battle Royale was added to the game, developer Epic Games is set to debut a third mode for the game that will give players the freedom to build to their heart’s content on their own private island. The mode will be called Creative, and anyone who buys a Season 7 Battle Pass can access it starting December 6th.
