One of our favorite Avengers might not die in ‘Avengers 4’ after all

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

The first Avengers 4 trailer isn’t here yet, and we have no idea what the movie will be called since the Russo brothers refused to address any questions about the new film during a special Infinity War screening earlier this week. That’s also where we expected the first trailer to drop, but that didn’t happen. That doesn’t mean the Russo brothers have been quiet about the Avengers universe though, with Joe teasing that one of our favorite Avengers, a hero we thought might not make it through Avengers 4, will not die. That said, it’s not all good news, and we have no idea what it all means.

‘Pokemon Go’ is finally getting trainer battles

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

When Pokemon Go launched in the summer of 2016, it was missing many of the key features that define a Pokemon game. There were no Legendary Pokemon, you couldn’t trade your Pokemon with other trainers, and most egregious of all, you couldn’t battle anyone else directly. Niantic has addressed the first two issues in the months since launch, but it was still unclear when player vs. player battles would be added to the game.

We still don’t have a date yet, but after announcing the feature would be ready before the end of 2018 back in August, the development team confirmed that trainer battles “are coming soon” on Friday morning.

‘Daredevil’ was officially canceled by Netflix, but it might still come back

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

In a disappointing (but ultimately unsurprising) turn of events, Netflix officially canceled its Daredevil series this week after a three-season run. This announcement comes less than two months after the cancellations of Luke Cage and Iron Fist, leaving Jessica Jones and The Punisher as the only surviving Marvel-Netflix collaborations.

Marvel’s Daredevil will not return for a fourth season on Netflix,” Netflix said in a statement on Thursday, confirming that the show has been canceled. “We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note.”

Yup, Samsung is finally ready to copy the iPhone design decision it’s been mocking since 2016

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

The Galaxy A8s will be Samsung’s first phone with a gorgeous Infinity-O display. That’s the kind of screen that occupies almost the entire front of the phone except for tiny bezels and a camera hole near the top. Samsung already teased the new design, and then introduced the Infinity-O screens at its SDC18 event earlier this month. Since then, we learned that other smartphone makers should have similar designs in stores soon, including Huawei and Lenovo. A new series of leaks further reinforces the idea that the Galaxy A8s will have an Infinity-O screen, but also they also deliver some bad news for Samsung fans, the kind of news they’ve been dreading ever since the iPhone 7 came out.

Apple Music is coming to Amazon Echo devices in December

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Amazon’s Echo devices have gained dozens of new features and a ton of additional functionality over the years, but one app has been mysteriously absent. That app? Apple Music. Spotify, Pandora, and other popular music streaming services have been compatible with the Echo for ages, but more than three years after launch, Apple Music is finally joining the fray beginning on the week of December 17th with its own Alexa Skill.

Amazon made the announcement in a company blog post, confirming that Apple Music would arrive on Echo devices in time for the holiday season. The company didn’t reveal the exact date that we’ll all be able to access the new skill, but Monday, December 17th sounds like the earliest it will be available.
