Tesla may still be riding high on reports that they’ve already tallied nearly 400,000 reservations for the Model 3, but the company’s crossover SUV — the Model X — just can’t seem to catch a break. About a week after Tesla issued a voluntary recall for all Model X units ever sold, Consumer Reports has come out with a less than flattering look at Tesla’s SUV.

Netflix prices are increasing next month – here’s what you need to know

Some longtime Netflix subscribers are going to see their subscription prices go up starting next up, but others will get to enjoy a few more months of lower prices before they have to start paying more. Basically, Netflix is going to roll out its price increases gradually and CNN informs us that the longer you’ve been a subscriber, the longer you’ll have to wait before your subscription price increases. So that’s good news if you signed up for a $7.99-per-month Netflix streaming subscription back before it was cool.

Since then, we keep seeing similar visual illusions designed to mess with our brains, and the latest one is the image above, which shows two hearts with different colored lines drawn in front of them and behind them. Are the hearts orange? Are they purple? They can’t possibly be of the same color, can they?

Before you freak out about the actual color of these hearts, watch the video we’ve included below, which explains how the brain processes color and how it alters our perception of the world.

But how can you find the strangest things on these two online retailing giants without having a specific idea of what you’re looking for?

As is usually the case with such things, your best resource is Reddit. More specifically, you should check out the two subreddits /r/WTFAmazon and /r/eBayWTF to find the absolute craziest and scariest things that are being sold online right now.

The name Damien Walters may not sound familiar to most people, but some James Bond fans will know he happens to be Daniel Craig’s stunt double in Skyfall, one of the latest 007 movies. How good of a stunt person is Walters, you may ask? Just watch the following video, in which he does a standing backflipp over a Formula E race car that’s barreling towards him at 60 miles per hour.

Oh, and Walters doesn’t even look to see it approaching.

For all the hoopla surrounding NSA surveillance activities, it’s shockingly easy to forget that Google often knows an awful a lot about more than 1 billion users across the globe. Google knows what you search for, what videos you watch, what music you listen to, and even the places you travel to. Of course, Google having access to this information doesn’t quite shock the system given that Google users are typically all too happy and willing to sacrifice a bit of their privacy in exchange for a wide array of free and useful services.

Report uncovers Apple’s secret plan to go to war with Netflix

In a world where Steve Ballmer is an NBA owner and former Apple executive Tony Fadell is a Google employee, I suppose the notion of Apple getting into the TV production business in an effort to take on Netflix isn’t that crazy. Echoing a report which first surfaced this past August, a recently published FastCompany article sheds some new light on Apple’s somewhat ambitious attempt to develop original programming and, in turn, make an impactful and bold entry into the TV business.
