Hackers have come up with a sneaky way to steal your personal information and they’re doing it by sending a simple text message to your iPhone. Per NBCBayArea.com, it seems some iPhone users have been receiving dodgy text messages informing them that their Apple ID has “expired” and that they’ll need to go to a certain website to retrieve it. Of course, this website turns out to be a malicious website owned by hackers and Slawek Ligier of Barracuda Networks tells NBCBayArea.com that when you open it, it will “ask for your name, address, even your passport information.”

Pink Gold. Pink Gold, Pink Gold, Pink Gold. Pink. Gold.

Samsung on Wednesday announced that its flagship Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones now come in a brand new color. And it’s not Rose Gold. We promise. It’s Pink Gold. Pink! Just look at the images below and you’ll see that the color of this phone looks absolutely nothing like Rose Gold, which had only been seen limited-run smartphones until Apple added the color to its iPhone lineup.

Should Android be illegal?

Nothing in this world is free. Whether or not you pay for something with money, you always pay. Google has built a massive empire that revolves around this concept. Nearly all of the services it offers are “free,” from search and email to calendaring, mapping, productivity software and more. But none of those services are actually free — Google collects and analyzes all sorts of crucially important private data about its users in order to help profile them and serve them advertisements that are better targeted than any other ad platform in the world.

The Android platform is also “free” for Google’s vendor partners, but Google is not a charity. Its entire model revolves around a tradeoff: companies can use Android and have access to the Play Store for free so that Google’s various services are front and center among their users. Now, the European Union has charged Google in an antitrust case alleging that Google’s Android platform breaks the law.

What the FBI found on the San Bernardino iPhone

The locked iPhone 5c belonging to one of the San Bernardino shooters is one of the best-known iPhones in the world thanks to the FBI vs. Apple fight over encryption that we’ve witness in recent weeks. Both the FBI and Apple had their way. The FBI managed to unlock the handset in its quest to find leads related to the investigation, but it did so without Apple’s help. The iPhone maker, meanwhile, avoided a court order that may have forced it to unlock it by circumventing its own security features built into iOS 9.

The FBI was quick to unlock the iPhone with the help of an unnamed party, and we now know what it found.

We knew the European Union was looking into Google’s Android mobile operating system and the company’s business practices surrounding it, so it’s no surprise that the EU decided to file formal antitrust charges against Android. This isn’t the EU’s first probe into Google’s alleged antitrust practices, as a similar search-related investigation is also underway. But now, Google has to defend its decision to prioritize its services on Android OS, including online search.

Only in China: 6 bulldozers fight it out in the street

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

I’m not really surprised to see six bulldozers going against each other in the middle of the street, during an ordinary day, in China. Crazy things tend to happen over there, and the following video, recorded by an eye-witness, shows these massive machines fighting it out like it’s a demolition derby show.

You’d think there’s always a chance that this entire scene was staged for the sole purpose of going viral online, but that’s not the case here. It’s a real rumble in the streets, a fight between men operating heavy and dangerous machinery.

It’s almost ridiculous how much T-Mobile is beating its rivals

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

It can’t be said enough: T-Mobile under CEO John Legere really has shaken up the wireless industry in the United States. Whether it’s been introducing rollover data plans, paying off rivals’ early termination fees or eliminating overage fees, the “Un-carrier” has dictated the terms of competition in the mobile industry for the past three years. The carrier has been regularly rewarded for its work by posting eye-popping quarterly subscriber numbers, and a new report from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners shows just how much T-Mobile has been thrashing rivals.
