We all love the Internet, but it’s also filled with nefarious hackers willing to take advantage of every single oversight. Some security issues are built into online services, while others are caused by actual users. The only way to ensure you’re really safe online is to protect access to your accounts with strong, unique passwords that are hard to crack. But that also means you’ll have to make sure you remember all the complex passwords you set up.

Thankfully, there are apps that can handle that for you, and one of them is now available as a free download on smartphones, tablets or desktop.

%name Bugged Windows 10 update could force your computer to reboot forever by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

A few weeks ago, it was reported that Windows 10 would automatically install updates to users’ computers, which rubbed some upgraders the wrong way. All things considered, it wasn’t the most pressing issue with the new OS, but now that updates have started to drop, we’re beginning to see the potential fallout of automatic updates.

When the first major update rolled out last week, some users found themselves locked in a reboot loop, effectively shutting them out of their accounts until they could find a workaround.

Yes, it’s true: We’re getting at least two new iPhones soon. Try to act surprised. Mobile marketing platform Fiksu this week did a search through its logs to see if it could find any new Apple devices… and lo and behold, it did. Specifically, Fiksu found that devices that were identified as “iPhone 8,1” and “iPhone 8,2” showed up in its logs repeatedly over the last month. In case you’re wondering, the iPhone 6 Plus shows up in Fiksu’s logs as “iPhone 7,1” and the iPhone 6 shows up as “iPhone 7,2,” so it’s not as though Apple is going to skip ahead all the way to the iPhone 8 this year.

%name Does Tesla really lose $4,000 on every car it sells? by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

For reasons that defy comprehension, a purposefully misleading narrative about Tesla has been gaining traction in the press this week. In an article originally published on Reuters, Joseph White and Paul Lienert laughably claim that Tesla loses $4,000 on every car it sells. Even their chosen headline is an exercise in bombastic and deceptive journalism: “Insight: Tesla burns cash, loses more than $4,000 on every car sold.”

Insight. An ironic choice of words.
