Comcast’s decision to try to merge with Time Warner Cable last year might go down as one of the biggest strategic blunders of the decade. Not only was Comcast forced to embarrassingly withdraw its bid for the cable company but it also opened itself up to investigations about whether it’s actually lived up to promises it made to get its last mega-merger with NBCUniversal approved by regulators.

Why does Swiss cheese have holes? It’s been the subject of great speculation throughout the years but researchers in Switzerland (where else?) think they have the answer. Agence France-Presse, via The Guardian, reports that researchers at a state-run agricultural research center called Agroscope have determined that tiny hay particles that fall into the milk are the main reason Swiss cheese develops holes. Previously, research suggested the holes were caused by carbon dioxide released by bacteria, but that’s apparently not the case.

One of the most exciting features that Google announced for Android M on Thursday was something called Google Now on Tap that takes context awareness on your Android phone to the next level. These days, if you’re looking to capture some extreme sports action, whether it be Base Jumping or even surfing, you’d be hard pressed to find a better solution than a GoPro camera. Indeed, GoPro cameras are seemingly everywhere these days, even showing up during yesterday’s Google I/O presentation in the form of a virtual reality rig comprised of 16 GoPro cameras.
