Soon after Apple released Watch OS 1.0.1 for its smartwatch, fitness enthusiasts noticed that the Watch isn’t measuring heart rate data every 10 minutes anymore, as it did prior to the update. With just one week before WWDC kicks off in San Francisco, one of the Apple announcements many folks were looking forward to the most has reportedly been delayed.
For months now, we’ve been hearing rumors of Apple rolling out a TV subscription service aimed at undercutting traditional cable TV providers with a more wallet-friendly $30-$40 pricepoint. Now comes word via Re/Code that licensing and money issues have pushed back Apple’s TV plans, perhaps as far back as 2016.

With new iPhones poised to launch in just a few months, Apple today increased the amount of store credit consumers receive when they trade in their existing iPhone devices at Apple retail stores. Notably, the credit can only be used towards the purchase of a new iPhone, perhaps dashing any hopes you may have had for purchasing a new iMac or MacBook on the cheap.

Score a win for BlackBerry. Per The Wall Street Journal, BlackBerry has reached a settlement with Ryan Seacrest’s company Typo in which Typo has agreed to stop selling its smartphone keyboard attachments for any devices whose screens measure in at less than 7.9 inches. Since Typo primarily made keyboard attachments for iPhones, this effectively means it’s game over for Seacrest’s knockoff keyboard.

We’ve mentioned this before but Microsoft’s arsenal of mobile apps has become really impressive. The Wall Street Journal reports that Microsoft added yet another first-rate app to its ranks on Monday by buying German app developer 6Wunderkinder, the company behind popular list-making app Wunderlist. According to the Journal, the deal to buy 6Wunderkinder is worth between $100 million and $200 million.

All things considered, Google I/O 2015 was an entertaining showcase for one of the largest technology companies on the planet. Virtual reality Expeditions, Now on Tap and the unlimited cloud storage service Google Photos all made a splash during the keynote presentation on Thursday, but, even as predictable as its reveal was, Android M was the star of the show.
That said, even with all of Android M’s improvements, two former Googlers told the Financial Times that they’re still not sure if Google can beat Apple in the mobile arena in the long run.

The freight train that is the iPhone continues to surge ahead with no signs of slowing down any time soon. But before we look at where iPhone sales might go in the future, let’s quickly recap the tremendous boom in iPhone sales Apple has enjoyed over the past few months.
During the company’s most recent April quarter, Apple sold 61 million iPhones, representing an astounding year-over-year increase of 40%. During the previous quarter — the always lucrative holiday quarter — Apple sold 74.5 million iPhones, representing a year-over-year increase of 46%.
