Samsung recently took the wraps off its new Galaxy S20 lineup, not that there was much left to unwrap. Practically everything there is to know leaked long before Samsung’s big Unpacked press conference, so there really weren’t many surprises left. In fact, pretty much the only surprise from the entire event was the pricing — in the US, the cheapest Galaxy S20 you can get costs a whopping $1,000, and prices climb all the way to a whopping $1,600 if you want the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It’s a remarkable smartphone, but that price is absolutely insane.

If you absolutely must have a Galaxy S20, Amazon actually has preorder deals right now that make the prices slightly more tolerable by tossing in a free pair of Galaxy Buds true wireless earbuds and a free DUO Pad dual wireless charger. You can check out the deals right here. That said, there’s a big sale going on right now on another new Samsung smartphone, and it makes buying a Galaxy S20 seem insane.

The Galaxy Note 9 is Samsung’s latest and greatest Galaxy Note phone. Some might argue that even once the Galaxy S20 series is released next week, the Note 9 will still be Samsung’s best all-around smartphone. It might not have 100x zoom like the Galaxy S20 Ultra, but it’s also on sale right now on Amazon for less than half what you’ll have to spend if you pick up the S20 Ultra.

At full retail, a top-of-the-line Galaxy Note 9 will set you back $1,249.99 unlocked. Head over to Amazon right now, however, and you’ll find it on sale with a massive $545 discount that drops the price to just $705 and change. For a smartphone this powerful with cutting-edge specs, fantastic battery life, an excellent camera, and all of Samsung’s awesome S Pen features, that’s a steal. In fact, it’s even less than you’ll pay for the base model Note 9 with only 128GB of storage! This is a limited-time deal though, so grab one now or you might miss out.

Here are some highlights from the Amazon description:

  • The largest battery in a Note, ever. When you have a long-lasting battery, you really can go all day and all night.

  • The Note9 gives you a quick network connection for incredibly fast streaming and downloading, so you can do more, uninterrupted.
  • Still amazing on screen, but now the S-Pen has more power off screen. Remotely control different applications and use the S pen to capture shots from far away, scroll, and play music.
  • At 6.4″, the Note9 has the largest screen of any Galaxy phone. Perfect for gaming and streaming, our Super AMOLED display is bigger than ever before.S Pen remote function reaches about 32 feet in an open space. Performance subject to circumstances.
