In order to compete with the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe, DC is hosting an explosive event of its own next year by pitting two heroes against each other in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. This is the film that will open up DC’s own movie universe, but going forward, Batman may play an even larger role than we’d previously assumed.
