The Interview is far from being a must-see movie, but that didn’t stop plenty of viewers from renting or purchasing the controversial comedy online, after hackers forced Sony’s hand last month. Instead of enjoying a wide release on Christmas Day, the movie was only shown in select cinemas, though Sony also released it online with help of Microsoft, Google, Apple, and other digital content providers. After hitting 15 million in sales in the first days after launch, The Interview passed a second impressive milestone, raking in $31 million, according to CNN.

Apple appears to be very much interested in iPhones with flexible displays that could be folded into smaller devices without breaking. The company on Tuesday was awarded a patent for “Flexible electronic devices,” AppleInsider reports, which was filed all the way back in late September 2011.

HTC released another quarterly earnings report this week and once again the beleaguered Taiwanese company posted dismal resul… actually, wait. It didn’t! Bloomberg reports that HTC not only reported a better-than-expected profit of NT$470 million in Q4 2014 but it also posted year-over-year sales growth for the first time in more than three years.

There has been a long tradition of movies based on video games in Hollywood, but the vast majority of them have been critical flops. Video game stories just don’t transition especially well to the big screen, which explains why Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, and perhaps most infamously of all, Super Mario Bros. are so hard to watch.

HTC at CES 2015 unveiled a brand new mid-range Android smartphone that packs an interesting feature that photographers who love taking selfies on a regular basis will certainly appreciate. The handset comes with a great front-facing camera that HTC has so far used as the main shooter on some of its past flagship handsets, including the latest HTC One smartphones.

There is always a healthy mix of products at CES, from those that will never see the light of day, to those that will launch and immediately bomb, to those that are sure-fire hits right out of the gate. Some developers bank on successful ideas and put their own spin on them in order to ensure that, at the very least, someone will buy their product, but others prefer to take risks.
I would consider the Razer Forge TV a risky proposition.

Sony announced on Tuesday that PlayStation 4 sales have passed 18.5 million units as of January 4th, a huge jump from the 13.5 million of late October. This is especially good news for the Japanese corporation considering the fact that the Xbox One finally jumped the PS4 in November, potentially indicating that the unprecedented interest in Sony’s console was beginning to die down.

Last November, Microsoft announced that it would be inviting some Android tablet users to test Microsoft Office for the very first time.
