Although Android L is still months away from officially launching, some clever Android developers have taken bits and pieces of code from the developer preview of the new platform and have been modifying them for release as either standalone apps or launchers. For instance, we’ve already seen standalone apps released for Android L’s great new notification center and for its newly revamped keyboard.

Now that the first Android Wear devices are finally out in the wild, early adopters will be on the hunt for compatible apps to use with the G Watch and the Gear Live. Google began the rollout by launching the Android Wear setup app on Wednesday, allowing users to quickly pair their new wearables with their smartphones, control voice action preferences and adjust notification settings.

Average global Internet service speeds grew an impressive 24% annually to 3.9Mbps in the first quarter of 2014, according to the recently released “State of the Internet Report” from Akamai. The United States showed solid improvements as well in terms of Web speeds, with the national average connection rate climbing 31% to 10.5Mbps. While that figure is impressive compared to the global average, and is also up a healthy 9% from the fourth quarter last year, it still lags global leaders by a big margin.

It’s likely a reasonably safe bet at this point to presume that the countless next-generation iPhone mockups we’ve seen in photos and on video are a close likeness to the actual 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch “iPhone Air” Apple plans to debut later this year. The models are said to be made using actual schematics that were leaked from Foxconn several months ago, so they may be accurate down to the millimeter — though one recent report claims that there is a huge flaw in the designs that comes as the result of a misunderstanding of the schematics.
With all that said, these mockups were not made using Apple suppliers’ materials or machinery, so there is likely one important thing they do not accurately convey: The beauty of Apple’s upcoming hardware.

While most smartwatches unveiled so far haven’t really garnered a lot of positive press, there has been one exception: The Moto 360, which by far has the most stylish design of any big-name wearable computer out there. However, GforGames flags a price listing for the Moto 360 on Chinese retailer Jingdong’s website that says the device will sell for 2,800 yuan, which is nearly twice the 1,500 yuan that Jingdong is charging for the LG G Watch or the Samsung Gear Live.

Facebook’s social experimentation rabbit hole goes much deeper than any of us could have imagined. The Wall Street Journal reports that the controversial 2012 experiment in which the news feeds of nearly 700,000 users were altered to show either positive or negative posts was just one of hundreds that the Facebook Data Science team has conducted over the past several years.

Apple’s next-generation iPhone 6 and “iPhone Air” phablet won’t debut for another couple of months, but it seems like they have already existed since last year thanks to all of the leaks and rumors that have been bubbling up. We have seen iPhone 6 mockups based on supposed leaked schematics in photos and on video, we have read all about their specs, and we have heard about their new features. With recent reports suggesting that both models will enter the mass-production phase this month, however, we’re now getting to know Apple’s next-generation iPhones better than ever.
Internal components said to be from Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6 leaked for the first time earlier this week, as did the supposed curved glass display covers from the 4.7-inch model. Now, for the first time ever, the aforementioned glass display covers have been captured on video.
