The OnePlus 3 is probably going to be sold as the next “flagship killer,” a phone billed as being better than any other high-end handset out there and more affordable than other leading devices. But if there’s one thing the OnePlus 3 might not “kill,” it’s smartphone design. A new leak showing what seems to be official press renders of the handset suggest the device is more like the lovechild of an iPhone 6s and an HTC 10.

Someone set out to make the world’s stupidest bot and hoo-boy did he succeed

An event taking place this week in San Francisco called the Stupid Hackathon is exactly what it sounds like. Programmers convene and try to outdo each other by coming up with the stupidest ideas possible and then hacking them together during the event. These hackathons always result in some pretty spectacular creations, but among what we’ve seen so far there is a clear and obvious winner.

Prepare yourself for “Picnic,” the brainchild of programmer Max Goodman.

Shortly after introducing its innovative Autopilot software to the world, Tesla, as it’s prone to do, issued a software update for the Model S which included a new ‘Summon’ feature. As the name implies, the feature allows owners to summon their car even when they’re not inside it. When activated, a Tesla will autostart, open up a user’s garage door if need be, and slowly roll out to greet the driver.

This may be the simplest home security solution on the planet

Once upon a time, companies preyed on homeowners’ fear to get them to cough up huge amounts of cash for overly complicated home security systems. Then, as icing on the cake, they also got them to pay even more money each and every month for home monitoring service that is essentially useless. Heaven forbid an intruder does gain access to your home, he or she will take off the moment your alarm starts blaring — no one’s waiting around for a phone call from your monitoring service or for the cops to show up.

It’s the age of the smart home, and you can secure your house, condo or apartment for a fraction of what you’d pay for an older alarm system. Check out the Korner Home Security 3 Sensor Package, an insanely simple home security system that costs less than $100 on Amazon.

We’ve seen the “GPS directions gone awry” scenario play out on TV shows any number of times, but perhaps the most well-known example comes from an old episode of The Office where Michael and Dwight both ignore their common-sense instincts and instead blindly drive a car into a lake.

Recently, and rather unfortunately, a Canadian woman on the road had her own Michael Scott moment when, in the midst of a rainstorm and accompanying fog with low visibility, she followed her GPS’s driving directions — only to find herself in the middle of a freezing cold lake in Ontario.

Larger screened iPhones are great and all, but Apple, ever since the 2014 release of the iPhone 6, spent the last few years completely ignoring the 4-inch form factor. That being the case, the recent release of the iPhone SE — a compact device packed with Apple’s most advanced mobile technologies and hardware — has been a long time coming. And for many who have been eagerly and patiently awaiting a worthy successor to the iPhone 5s, the iPhone SE release was long overdue.

While it’s easy to ignore the iPhone SE as nothing more than a smaller version of the iPhone 6s, the iPhone SE is actually a standout device if you care about battery life. And truth be told, who doesn’t care about all-day battery life?
