Soon after Apple released iOS 8 last year, it became abundantly clear to many users that a 16GB device isn’t going to cut it any longer. Apple partially fixed iOS 8’s massive storage problems in subsequent iOS 8 incremental updates, and it plans to fix this issue for good once iOS 9 rolls out. Many assumed the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus would be available in 32GB as entry-level models, and some reports said that will happen this year.

However, various others said that 16GB would remain the lowest storage tier for new iPhones for one more year, and more and more leaks indicate that’s indeed going to be the case. After a report from a Dutch tech site said a few days ago said the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will have the same price points as their predecessors, a new story on the Chinese iPhone 6s launch indicates the same thing.
