Despite the continued expansion of Samsung’s enormous international footprint, the company’s CFO Lee Sang Hoon says second quarter earnings for 2014 are going to be “not that good.” Bloomberg reports that Samsung is expected to post an operating profit of 8.4 trillion won ($8.2 billion) for the quarter, a significant slide from the record performance of 10.2 trillion won in Q3 2013.

The Supreme Court ruled on Wednesday that police will now be required to obtain a search warrant before they can access the cell phone of an individual they arrest, barring extreme circumstances such as child abduction or a bomb threat. MSNBC reports that the decision was unanimous.

Late summer and early fall this year are going to be huge for Apple. After months without any new products, the company is expected to launch a flurry of new devices beginning with two completely redesigned iPhone 6 models, one with a 4.7-inch display and one with an even bigger 5.5-inch screen. Also expected are a new 12-inch Retina MacBook Air, a new Apple TV, an iWatch, a refreshed iPad mini and a sixth-generation full-size iPad, currently referred to as the “iPad Air 2.”
