Internet users looking to better guard their online privacy are probably aware of a new tracking trick certain sites are experimenting with in order to offer better targeted ads even to those people who block other tracking measures. Called canvas fingerprinting, the new tool tells your browser to create a unique fingerprint for your computer, by retrieving certain details about how the browser is rendering text on your system. The fingerprint then can be used to track users across websites, and it looks like at least 5,619 website have used the technology during May 1-5, 2014, according to researches that looked into how canvas fingerprinting works.

As I walked through Times Square on my way to the office one day last week, something odd caught my eye that made me do a double take. A sizable line had formed outside of the AT&T store as it prepared to open. And truth be told, this is a phone worth lining up for.

Many iPhone 6 reports have claimed the bigger 5.5-inch iPhone 6 model is delayed, as Apple has been experiencing various production issues related to battery size, new display with in-cell touch sensors, or the sapphire front panel. But according to a new report, it appears that’s not why Apple may want to delay the phablet. Digitimes has learned from sources familiar with the matter that yield rates have not been an issue for the 5.5-inch iPhone 6, and the company instead has a completely different reason to hold the handset back.
