Apple unveiled its “magical” new mobile product line during the iPhone 6 keynote, but the company left many questions unanswered about its “one more thing.” For instance, Apple did not say whether the Apple Watch will be waterproof or water-resistant, although it did show a version of the device splashed with water in one video, implying that there is at least some degree of water resistance. In a private Apple Watch briefing, David Pogue has learned that the device will be water-resistant, but that doesn’t mean you can take showers with it.

The iPhone 6 and its 5.5-inch counterpart won’t start shipping until September 19th, but the first shipments have reportedly already reached U.S. shores. According to China’s Civil Aviation Network, an initial iPhone 6 and 6 Plus shipment weighing in at 14.5 tons departed from Zhengzhou Xinzheng International on September 6th in order to arrive in time for Apple’s keynote address. A second, larger batch of 78.5 tons shipped on September 10th.

Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launch this year is shaping up to be the company’s biggest iPhone debut of all time. Years of pent-up demand for iPhones with significantly larger displays led up to Apple’s big reveal on Tuesday. While nothing shown off during the company’s press conference came as a surprise, fans went crazy when Apple finally confirmed its new bigger smartphones.

If recent reports pan out, finding a new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus to preorder could be somewhat difficult for people not willing to wake up in the middle of the night when pre-sales go live at 3:01 a.m. EDT, 12:01 a.m. PDT.
