Despite an onslaught of competititon, Apple’s iPad received the highest marks on the latest J.D. Power tablet satisfaction survey. According to the survey of over 2,500 tablet users, the iPad ranked first in every category except price and its overall satisfaction score of 830 out of 1,000 beat Samsung at 822, Asus at 820, Amazon at 817, and Acer at 769.

Sprint hasn’t had any luck moving forward with its proposed acquisition of T-Mobile so far, but CEO Dan Hesse is doing everything he can to spin the merger as a beneficial for the market as a whole. In an interview with Bloomberg TV, Hesse claimed that a bigger No. 3 provider would force the top 2 to remain competitive, rather than continuing to compete in an unsustainable price war.

China-based e-commerce giant Alibaba is preparing for an IPO. The company is expected to raise more than $15 billion in its initial offering, and it could even top the $16 billion Facebook racked up back in 2012, making it the largest technology sector IPO of all time. Alibaba is often referred to as “the Amazon of China” but the truth is that Alibaba’s reach stretches much, much further than Amazon’s. For a long time, many diehard Nintendo fans have clung to the hope that Wii U sales would finally explode once Nintendo released Mario Kart 8 and the new Super Smash Bros. game, two titles that have been absolute goldmines for Nintendo in the past. However Time’s Matt Peckham, who has staunchly defended Nintendo’s overall business model and strategy in the past, says that it’s basically game over for the Wii U no matter how good its big upcoming games are. The team at MacRumors has apparently grown tired of seeing all of these leaked iPhone 6 mockups without being able to try them out. Before Sony has even sent out one invitation for its press conference, a major leak may have revealed everything the company was planning to show on stage. DualShockers reports that an anonymous source with information from contacts within Sony and the BBH New York marketing firm has obtained a detailed list of Sony’s entire press conference, including every new PlayStation 4 announcement, every game demo and every publisher that will take the stage in June. Samsung might be looking to have the same impact in the wearable market as it has with its multitude of smartphones over the past several years. Technology site MakTechBlog came across a listing on Indian import site Zauba for a “Gear 2 Solo” with the code name SM-R710. BGR sister site BGR India reported on a patent application for the Gear Solo early last month, signaling that Samsung might be working on a standalone smartwatch with a SIM card slot.

As of Wednesday morning, NASA has begun testing its most recent addition to the International Space Station: four HD cameras which will broadcast live from the exterior of the station on the agency’s Ustream page. This project was completed in cooperation with the High Schools United with NASA to Create Hardware (HUNCH) program in order to allow students to design camera components and help operate the experiment.

Not all smartphone users enjoy their sleek smartphones button-free, and would prefer actual physical buttons for certain actions. Dimple has been imagined with these users in mind, and the project is currently seeking funding on Indiegogo. Each band-aid-like Dimple sticker offers users access to four buttons that can be configured to trigger certain actions on Android smartphones and tablets once an NFC connection is established.

BlackBerry is not quite ready to roll over and die, but phones like the BlackBerry Magnum shown in a fresh set of leaked images won’t make its fight for survival any easier in a world dominated by iOS and Android devices. CrackBerry has found a few pictures on Weibo that show a Bold-like BlackBerry Magnum, although it’s not clear whether such a device will launch anytime soon.
