With the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple managed to convince many buyers to pay more for a new iPhone, even though the company kept the same price tiers in place from previous years. What Apple changed is storage versions for the handsets: the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus both come in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities, rather than the 16GB and 32GB and 64GB versions that we saw in previous iPhone generations.

As the CEO of both Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk can’t be accused of being an anti-technology luddite. Every year, employee surveys confirm that Google is one of, if not the, best places to work in the United States. The reasons for this are manifold: Google obsessively monitors its employees to make sure they’re happy and offers a ridiculous amount of perks to make working at the company as fun as work can possibly be. So now we know that Apple Pay and Google Wallet have been disabled at stores such as Walmart, CVS and RiteAid because these retailers have banded together to make their own mobile payments platform called CurrentC. While these merchants no doubt think that CurrentC will be a winner for them, the truth is it will probably be about as successful as mobile carriers’ failed attempts to build their own mobile payment systems, if not less so.

Just in time for the holidays, Microsoft is making its biggest push yet for the Xbox One. Starting on November 2nd, every Xbox One will receive a temporary $50 discount.
