Since we don’t expect Apple will make any major changes to its iPhone lineup this year with the iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus, concept designers are looking ahead to 2016’s expected iPhone 7 release as their source of inspiration. A new concept video posted by GdgtCompare.com imagines an iPhone that takes cues from both Apple’s own classic iPhone 4 model and from Samsung’s current Galaxy S6 models.

Comcast later this year is going to start a market trial of an incredibly promising new broadband technology capable of delivering maximum download speeds of 10Gbps and maximum upload speeds of 1Gbps. This news comes to us via Multichannel News’ Jeff Baumgartner and it was announced earlier on Thursday by Comcast Cable CEO Neil Smit, who said Comcast would start the trial sometime in Q4 2015.

Although the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge launched to critical acclaim earlier this year, Samsung knows it has plenty of work left to do in 2015 if it wants to compete with the next-gen iPhone. The supersized Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ handsets have yet to be officially revealed, but with an expected launch date of August 12th, the leaks can no longer be contained.

Apple on Tuesday announced details of its 2015 Back to School promotion that will let qualified buyers get a free pair of $200 Beats headphones with the purchase of an iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air or Mac Pro. Qualified buyers — which include K-12 “faculty, staff, students, and parents that are individual end users” — can choose to receive a $200 credit for either a pair of Beats Solo2 On-Ear Headphones or Beats Solo2 Wireless On-Ear Headphones.
