Sorry, hitchBOT: It looks like you weren’t ready for the U.S.A. after all. hitchBOT, in case you don’t know, was a hitchhiking robot that successfully made its way across Canada, Germany and the Netherlands all thanks to the kindness of strangers who picked it up on the side of the road and took it to various destinations. You may notice we said the robot was a hitchhiker. That’s because the friendly hunk of metal only lasted two weeks hitchhiking in the United States before it was found brutally decapitated and dismembered in Philadelphia.

When I first started getting into cell phones a few centuries ago, hacking and customizing your phone was an intricate and time-consuming process that involved things like “seem editing” and flashing software to a phone that you basically had to build yourself. Count yourself lucky that you have no idea what “seem editing” is.

Today, if you have an iPhone and you want to hack it or customize it, you connect your phone to your computer and run some software that will jailbreak it in a matter of minutes — it’s that simple. And while Apple’s iOS platform is now more capable than ever so I no longer personally feel the need to jailbreak, there are some pretty awesome jailbreak tweaks out there that are definitely making me consider it again.

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, a video like this comes around and leaves you speechless. One even struggles to come up with the words to accurately describe how insanely cool this video of Australian motorcycle rider and all-around daredevil Robbie Maddison is.

What you’re about to see here is the real deal. There’s no CGI or anything of the sort. Just breathtaking footage of Maddisson not only riding across the water on his motorbike, but actually using it to surf the famously challenging Teahuo’po wave in Tahiti.

An achievement two years in the making, this is without question one of the coolest stunts we’ve seen in a long time.

Ahead of the iPhone 6’s launch last year, leaked schematics from Apple’s manufacturing partner Foxconn blew the door wide open on Apple’s unreleased iPhones. The schematics were used to build 3D drawings as well as physical models of the new phones, and they gave us all a very early look at exactly what Apple had in store for its new generation of iPhones.

Now, it appears as though Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6s has fallen victim to the same tell-all leak, and this time it also answers the biggest question on everyone’s mind.

AT&T isn’t wasting any time pushing out new service offerings now that it’s merger with DirecTV is official. AT&T on Monday announced its first DirecTV bundle that offers users TV service along with four lines with 10GB of shared data and unlimited talk and text for $200 a month. While $200 a month might seem like a lot to fork over to AT&T every month, consider that you are getting four different cell phone lines and a full pay TV package — AT&T claims this will produce an annual savings of $600 a year versus what you’d pay for each service separately.

With September just around the corner, the number of iPhone 6s component leaks have started picking up. Just this past weekend, photos purporting to showcase iPhone 6s display components leaked online. Originally spotted by Nowhereelse, the components appear to be just slightly different from corresponding iPhone 6 components. So while the photos in and of themselves don’t provide any insight regarding the Force Touch feature Apple is reportedly incorporating into the next-gen iPhone, previous reports have indicated that Apple’s supply partners have already started manufacturing Force Touch displays.

Even more interesting is a leak which purports to showcase an iPhone 6s prototype out in the wild. Originally published by M.I.C gadget, the photos were allegedly taken by “old” workers from Foxconn. As expected, the iPhone 6s design is aesthetically similar to the iPhone 6, hardly surprising given that Apple’s ‘s’ upgrades have historically maintained the same exact design as the previous model.
