Google’s new Google Photos app has a bunch of new features users may appreciate, including automatic categorization and unlimited storage and backup, but the service is far from perfect. On top of the odd software issues you may encounter with face recognition or upload limits, there’s also a more annoying problem you should be aware of: Google Photos keeps uploading pictures to Google’s servers even after if you uninstall the app from your Android phone.

The promising and shockingly strong material has so far been used only in small iPhone components, but now it has finally made its way to a smartphone housing. Unfortunately for Apple fans, there’s still no sign of a Liquidmetal iPhone. Instead, an Android handset called the Turing Phone is set to become the first ever smartphone to sport a Liquidmetal case when it launches in the coming weeks.

Earlier this month, we highlighted an intriguing new piece of hardware capable of providing secure and anonymous Wi-Fi connectivity within a 2.5 mile radius. The brainchild of researcher Ben Caudill, the device, dubbed ProxyHam, was scheduled to be officially introduced at Def Con in Las Vegas early next month.

But then something funny happened.

Caudill’s talk was abruptly cancelled under extremely mysterious circumstances over the weekend.
