This Galaxy S10 leak is totally fake, but it probably shows us Samsung’s real design

%name This Galaxy S10 leak is totally fake, but it probably shows us Samsung’s real design by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

It might not fold in half like the upcoming “Galaxy F” Samsung teases on stage during its SDC 2018 keynote last month, but there’s really no question whatsoever that the Galaxy S10 is shaping up to be Samsung’s most exciting smartphone of 2019. In fact, there’s a very good chance that the Galaxy S10 ends up being the most exciting smartphone released next year by any smartphone maker. Whereas Samsung’s 2018 flagship smartphone lineup has been boring and uninspired, the Galaxy S10 will feature a completely overhauled design and plenty of exciting new tech. The company’s mobile division has been dragging down earnings performance and the Galaxy S9 is shaping up to be Samsung’s worst-selling Galaxy S phone since 2012. Next year, Samsung is looking to right the ship and then some.

With less than three months to go until Samsung is expected to unveil its new Galaxy S10 lineup, the leaks have really started to flow lately. It seems like we know practically everything there is to know about the flagship phone lineup at this point, and we’ve even seen a few photos of alleged Galaxy S10 prototypes leak. The subject of this post is not one of those leaked photos. In fact, it’s a blatant fake. So why are we covering it? It might be fake, but based on everything we know right now, it likely shows us exactly what Samsung’s Galaxy S10 will actually look like when it debuts early next year.

We’ve known for a while that OnePlus plans to be one of the first smartphone makers in the world to launch a 5G phone this year. That device won’t be the OnePlus 7, reports said last year, but a third handset that should be launched at some point in the first half of 2019. OnePlus just reconfirmed its commitment to launch a 5G phone next year, but that phone will be pricier than what you expect from OnePlus flagship handsets. The company’s CEO went on record to say that he’s working on keeping the price under $1,000.

Goodbye to Allo: Google will reportedly shutter its short-lived messaging app

%name Goodbye to Allo: Google will reportedly shutter its short lived messaging app by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

In a turn of events pretty much everyone outside of Google saw coming, the search giant is apparently poised to wind down its Google Allo messaging app, with an announcement coming “soon.” That’s according to a new report from 9to5Google, which quotes a “reliable source familiar with the plan” though there are few details other than that at this point.

And about that word: “plan” — it seemed that was always something lacking relative to Google’s fractured and disparate messaging-related properties, such that it’s never had one single strong product that could credibly rival something like iMessage. Indeed, Google vice president Anil Sabharwal acknowledged as much about eight months ago in an interview, saying that the company would be putting a pause on additional investment into Allo. He admitted then that “The product as a whole has not achieved the level of traction that we’d hoped for,” though Google would keep supporting the app.

This all-electric motorcycle can hit 60 mph in just 2.1 seconds

%name This all electric motorcycle can hit 60 mph in just 2.1 seconds by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Electric cars are only just starting to become a regular sighting on city streets, but one historic motorcycle company is already dreaming of what the electric revolution might mean for two-wheeled transportation.

Curtiss Motorcycles has created a bike that is both an homage to the company’s heritage as well as a glimpse into its future. It’s called the Hera, and it’s absolutely bonkers. It’s inspired by a V8-equipped gas-burning monster that company founder Glenn Curtiss built way back in the early 1900s. This time, however, gas cylinders are replaced with battery power, and the bike is an absolute speed demon.

Google is testing a way for Search to be your TV Guide for streaming apps

%name Google is testing a way for Search to be your TV Guide for streaming apps by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

If you watch a lot of the content streamed by players like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and the like, at some point you can feel a little bereft when it comes to knowing what’s what, provided you’re not glued to Twitter or to news about each outlets’ offerings. When does your favorite new series premiere? What’s coming soon?

Back in the prehistoric era, when you were forced to watch whatever was being broadcast on a TV set at that exact moment, people used an ancient text called a TV Guide to know what was being shown when. Interestingly, Google is testing a new feature that would provide a kind of digital version of that same thing, so that users can know what content they can find on which streaming app.

Wisconsin woman’s dog sniffed out her owner’s cancer three separate times

%name Wisconsin woman’s dog sniffed out her owner’s cancer three separate times by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Dogs have long been called “man’s best friend,” and you don’t have to search far for plenty of stories of canines helping out their human handlers in amazing ways. The latest, and perhaps most dramatic, evidence that dogs really do love humans comes from Madison, Wisconsin, where a Siberian husky alerted her owner of undiagnosed cancer not once, not twice, but three times.

Stephanie Herfel’s trusty pup Sierra began acting oddly one day, sniffing her and then running and hiding. Herfel told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that she had been experiencing pain and her dog’s strange behavior ultimately pushed her to go to her doctor. As it turned out, her dog had sniffed out ovarian cancer.

%name Amazon pretty much confirmed the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

A few days ago, OnePlus posted a teaser on Twitter for an upcoming partnership with McLaren. Considering that we already have Porsche Design and Lamborghini flagship Android phones out there, we speculated at the time that a OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition might be unveiled on December 11th.

Days later, a rumor suggested that the phone would have 10GB of RAM, which would mark a new milestone for the company. Since then, Amazon India has posted a teaser that practically confirms the new OnePlus 6T — the McLaren edition — is coming to help OnePlus celebrate its fifth birthday.
