Video of ‘Overwatch’ running on Switch shows just how far hacks have come
The Nintendo Switch could be a great tablet, if Nintendo wanted it to be anything more than a portable gaming console, and some people have set out to prove exactly that. One such user was able to play Blizzard’s multiplayer shooter Overwatch on the Nintendo Switch over Nvidia’s GameStream.

Huawei promises 100% refunds if Google and Facebook apps stop working
Huawei is resorting to drastic measures to counteract the effects of its inclusion on a US blacklist, which has resulted in several key US companies cutting ties with the Chinese electronics giant.
The biggest blows to result from the Huawei ban, however, arguably relate to the imminent loss of access to Google’s Android mobile OS as well as Google’s proprietary app marketplace. Meanwhile, Facebook also reportedly is no longer allowing Huawei to pre-install its apps on Huawei phones.

NASA’s asteroid probe snapped its closest photo yet of space rock Bennu
NASA’s OSIRIS-REx asteroid probe is giving scientists an even better look at the surface of the space rock known as Bennu now that it’s moved even closer to the object. A new photo posted by the partnership between NASA and the University of Arizona gives us what might be our most detailed glimpse yet at the rock.
The spacecraft has been hanging around Bennu for several months now, and will continue to do so for several more. Its new orbit, which its handlers call the Orbital B phase, brings it within a half mile of Bennu’s surface, and this new photo shows us exactly what it sees as it orbits.

Watch as a Model 3 is transformed into the first Tesla pickup truck
For all of the hoopla surrounding Elon Musk’s online antics and Tesla’s ongoing struggles to ramp up Model 3 production, it’s easy to overlook just how far the company has come in a relatively short period of time. In less than seven years time, Tesla managed to roll out the award-winning Model S, followed of course by the Model Y and the Model 3.
It’s worth noting that Tesla, during this seven-year period, has seen its deliveries and overall manufacturing figures skyrocket. As a prime example, Tesla during the first quarter of 2018 manufactured 34,494 vehicles. During the first quarter of 2019, just one year later, that figure jumped to 77,100 vehicles.

Here’s why ‘Toy Story 4’ is breaking a decades-long tradition at Pixar
One of the things that Pixar fans always look forward to whenever there’s a new feature film release from the beloved animation studio happens before the film itself gets underway.
From the squawking birds on a wire in For the Birds that was shown alongside Monsters Inc. to last year’s heartfelt Bao released alongside Incredibles 2, Pixar’s gorgeous and immensely satisfying shorts have been a staple of its releases for a few decades. Unfortunately, Toy Story 4 is set to finally break this tradition when it arrives in theaters this weekend.

Apple Watch just got one step closer to ditching the iPhone
When the first Apple Watch launched in 2015, it was inextricably linked to Apple’s iPhone. Much of the Apple Watch’s functionality depended on you also having an iOS device on hand, but over the years, that link began to sever as the company made the wearable more autonomous. The most obvious example of this was the addition of standalone cellular capabilities on Apple Watch Series 3, but another big move may be around the corner.
First noticed by VentureBeat’s Jeremy Horwitz, the latest beta release for watchOS 6 adds the ability to conduct over-the-air software updates from the Settings menu of an Apple Watch. If you happen to be on watchOS 6 beta 2, you can see for yourself by heading to Settings > General > Software Update.

Google shifts the blame after being accused of stealing lyrics from Genius
You’ve got to hand it to the folks at the song lyrics database company Genius — it was pretty clever how the company discovered that Google had been displaying song lyrics lifted right from its site in Search results. Genius had already suspected this was happening, but it was only when they planted a hidden Morse code message in song lyrics that they later saw appear within Search that they announced Google had been caught red-handed.
Google, predictably, has responded to the controversy today by claiming that it didn’t steal anything at all — but, just to be sure, it’s going to start labeling where it sources song lyrics from going forward.

Boeing may rebrand the 737 Max so people are willing to fly in it again
Boeing has a serious problem on its hands. After a pair of fatal crashes that claimed hundreds of lives, the company’s 737 Max jetliner has been seriously tarnished. Nobody really wants to fly on the planes, even if Boeing can figure out how to keep them from killing people, and that means the hundreds of planes sitting around in storage right now may have a tough road ahead.
Now, Boeing says it might have a plan for dealing with the complete loss of public trust in the 737 Max line, and it could be as simple as just changing its name. As Bloomberg reports, Boeing CFO Greg Smith noted the possibility of a name change in an interview during the Paris Air Show this week.
