Yet another cool new Pixel 4 feature just leaked
The Pixel 4 leaks continue with new revelations about Google’s upcoming flagship phone, which, like its predecessors, isn’t a secret to fans. Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL units running pre-release software have been reviewed extensively in the past couple of weeks even though the smartphone hasn’t yet been released. The latest leak concerns the new live wallpapers that are preloaded on the Pixel 4 series, some of which can be seen in the many Pixel 4 images that have been posted online recently. What’s cool about these new images is that some of them will automatically darken once you switch to night mode in Android 10.

A Samsung Galaxy Fold review in three words: Don’t buy it
Look, I’m not going to spend much time on this because, to be frank, I’ve already spent far more time discussing this phone than it deserves. Yes, on Friday morning the Galaxy Fold became the first smartphone with a foldable display to be released in the United States. It’s great news insofar as it’s an important first step toward a market where foldable devices are widely available, but that’s unfortunately the only good thing about Samsung’s new Galaxy Fold.
I told you a year before it was released, I told you a week before it was supposed to be released back in April, and I told you again a couple of months later. Now, I’m going to tell you one last time: the Galaxy Fold is a piece of junk. It was always going to be a piece of junk. Samsung’s first-generation mobile products are inevitably pieces of junk for all the reasons I’ve explained time and time again. They’re the physical embodiment of a troll racing to type “First!” in the comments section under a YouTube video. Samsung cares far more about beating the competition to market with a new product than it does about actually making a good product. You should never, ever buy a first-generation mobile product from Samsung. That’s always true but it’s especially true today, now that the Galaxy Fold is finally being released in the US.

An industry insider leaked the stunning flagship phone design of the future, and we almost missed it
Earlier this week, a China-based smartphone company called Xiaomi unveiled an intriguing new handset called the Mi Mix Alpha. It has a design that’s unlike anything the world has ever seen before, and people when nuts when they first saw it. As you can see in the image above, the Mi Mix Alpha features a curved OLED screen like Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 or the OnePlus 7 Pro. Instead of just curving a bit on both edges, however, the display on the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha wraps around both sides and extends all the way to the back of the phone. Here’s what the back of the Mi Mix Alpha looks like:

Huge Marvel fan Kevin Smith explains exactly why Sony’s ‘Spider-Man 3’ will suck without the MCU
Spider-Man 3 is already in the works, with a first draft script already available, and we’ve found that out in the wake of the nasty Sony-Disney divorce, after which the former got the custody over Peter Parker. Sony, of course, is forced to make new Spider-Man films every few years to keep the movie rights for the character, and it apparently thinks it can replicate the Far From Home success without any MCU ties. We’ve told you a bunch of times that what made the last two Spider-Man flicks so enjoyable was the inclusion in the massive MCU storyline, something that’s never been done before in movie history, and certainly something Sony never attempted to do on its own. If you’re still hopeful that the third film in the new Spider-Man trilogy will somehow be just as good as the first two, even if there won’t be any other MCU characters in it, then you’re more optimistic about the future of your favorite hero than one of the biggest Marvel fans out there.

Leak reveals new details about a great Pixel 4 feature you won’t find on the iPhone 11
Google was never able to keep Nexus and Pixel phones secret, if it even wanted to, and Pixel 4 is no exception. But unlike in previous years, Google has come forward with revealing teasers and a full Pixel 4 announcement several months before the October Pixel press conference. The search giant confirmed the Pixel 4’s rear camera design, as well as the front-facing 3D face recognition camera and Motion Sense features. The latter is something that’s not available on any other iPhone, a device that served as Google’s primary source of inspiration for all Pixel phones so far.
That’s because Motion Sense is actually the marketing moniker Google gave to its Project Soli system, which uses radar to detect motion and convert it into actions on a device. The Pixel 4 will have a Soli radar, which means you’ll be able to interact with the phone without touching it. If that sounds familiar, that’s because smartphone makers including LG and Huawei have their own ideas for touch-free smartphone interaction, although none of them uses radar. That said, some Motion Sense details have leaked ahead of Google’s October 15th media event straight from the Pixel 4 app.

Robert De Niro will be 20 years old again in ‘The Irishman’ thanks to crazy de-aging tech
I’ve been waiting for The Irishman for a few years, and the mobster movie based on real-life events is almost here. The film will hit theaters on November 1st, some three weeks before its streaming debut on Netflix on November 27th. The movie tells the story of Frank Sheeran, a hitman for the mob who supposedly killed Jimmy Hoffa and confessed to it on his deathbed.
Robert De Niro, who has been attached to the project for years, will play Frank in the movie — from his 20s, when Sheeran was deployed in Europe during the World War II, through all the events in Frank’s life that followed after the war. Thanks to de-aging technology, De Niro was able to act in all of those scenes, and we’re going to see a young version of the actor again when the movie premieres this fall, as you can see in the image above.
