Dimple has been imagined with these users in mind, and the project is currently seeking funding on Indiegogo. Each band-aid-like Dimple sticker offers users access to four buttons that can be configured to trigger certain actions on Android smartphones and tablets once an NFC connection is established.

New leak shows us the phone that won’t save BlackBerry

BlackBerry is not quite ready to roll over and die, but phones like the BlackBerry Magnum shown in a fresh set of leaked images won’t make its fight for survival any easier in a world dominated by iOS and Android devices. CrackBerry has found a few pictures on Weibo that show a Bold-like BlackBerry Magnum, although it’s not clear whether such a device will launch anytime soon.

Verizon won’t lower your monthly bills just to compete with T-Mobile

In what must be music to T-Mobile CEO John Legere’s ears, Verizon has once again told us that it won’t be lowering our wireless bills just to better compete with T-Mobile. FierceWireless reports that Verizon CFO Fran Shammo said during the Jefferies Technology, Media and Telecom Conference this week that it won’t be overly reactive to T-Mobile’s “Uncarrier” moves even though its subscriber growth rate actually dropped year-over-year in its last quarterly earnings report.

Samsung desperately wants the Galaxy S5 to be cool

Samsung has release a couple of new short ads that promote the new Galaxy S5 smartphone, with one of them sending a clear message that the Galaxy S5 is supposed to be cool. The phone is already a hot seller, with Samsung expected to move up to 35 million units in the first quarter, but the company’s marketing department is buzzing at full speed, touting the technical advancements in the new smartphone . In an interview and in a recent post on the company’s blog, Samsung has explained why plastic is a better choice for handset back covers, but also why it decided to change the user interface of the smartphone and remove plenty of bloatware.

iPhone 4′s new lease on life is apparently over after just three months

Apple still hasn’t launched any “new” mobile products yet in 2014, but it did relaunch a couple of old ones. Among them was the iPhone 4, which was re-released in India this past January with 8GB of storage in an effort to help Apple better compete with less expensive phones in the region. The new cheaper iPhone 4 was reportedly helping Apple, but apparently not enough to warrant its continued production.
