One of the new products the company introduced at its iPhone 6s fall event is the iPhone Upgrade Program that lets you buy a new iPhone every year for as little as $1/day for the cheapest model. The idea isn’t new, as Apple is simply doing what you’ve come to expect from your carrier, but the iPhone maker’s program has many implications on the market. With its upgrade program, Apple can put pressure on carriers and increase competitions, as the company sells unlocked iPhones bundled with AppleCare+ through its own program, which might be more appealing offers to certain buyers.

New Nexus leak teases remarkable performance gains over predecessors
In a couple of weeks, Google will unveil its 2015 lineup of Nexus devices. The company plans to launch two distinct new smartphones, including a Nexus 5X made by LG, and Huawei’s version of the Nexus 6 successor. Xerox Parc shows off computer chip that can self-destruct in 10 seconds
Engineers at PARC, formerly known as Xerox Parc, recently unveiled a new type of computer chip capable of self destructing on command. Initially demoed at DARPA’S Wait What event last week, the computer chip itself is made out of Gorilla Glass but is heavily stressed so that it shatters into pieces when triggered via heat, a mechanical switch or even a radio signal.
