Facebook and Google seem like they’re in a contest to see which can come up with the creepiest ways to keep track of its user base. Geek.com has spotted a new patent that was awarded to Facebook earlier this year that describes technology that can identify individual users’ phones based on unique camera lens defects that show up on the pictures they upload onto the web.

We’ve seen a bunch of airplane pilots making heart-stopping, death-defying crosswind landings, but that doesn’t make watching similar experiences any less scary, especially if you hate flying. A new video captured over the weekend in Dusseldorf, Germany, shows a huge Airbus A380, which happens to be the world’s largest passenger airliner, making such a landing.

To some people, a stylus is a stylus. Of course, anyone who has used one of the nicer options out there knows that simply isn’t the case. The Apple Pencil that will launch alongside the iPad Pro later this year is a perfect example of a stylus that stands apart from most other options out there. Of course, before the Apple Pencil was even a glimmer in Jony Ive’s eye, there was the Pencil by FiftyThree.

The first iPhone 6s benchmarks are in, and they show that the new Apple smartphones are about as powerful as the new Retina MacBook, which is probably something not many people expected. The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus shouldn’t arrive at your door for a few more days – I sure know mine isn’t here yet – but a lucky customer from California has already received her rose gold iPhone 6s, and she posted a slew of unboxing images as well as the first benchmark test results. And yes, benchmark scores say Apple’s iPhone 6s brings insane performance improvements compared to last year’s models. In fact, the numbers suggest the iPhone 6s is as powerful as Apple’s 2015 12-inch Retina Macbook.

To make things even better, this early iPhone 6s arrival is a rose gold model, the brand new iPhone color Apple introduced this year, which has caused quite a stir so far.

Email filters have existed forever. In fact, a few particularly annoying PR flacks probably would have driven me insane years ago had it not been for the ability to block their persistent pitches for clients whose products aren’t even close to being a fit for BGR. I’m sure everyone can relate — there are just always going to be some people you never want to hear from again.

Google has supported filters just like every other email provider out there ever since Gmail first launched. Today, however, the company announced a new feature that makes it very easy to instantly block annoying senders in just a few quick clicks.
