At one point during Samsung’s Galaxy S6 presentation in early March, the company triumphantly announced Samsung Pay, bragging that unlike the competition’s similar product it’ll work with any existing payment terminal. The move was a direct response to the iPhone 6’s Apple Pay feature introduced a few months earlier, which gave a significant boost to the entire mobile payments ecosystem.

Leak reveals a brand-new Android phone made by… Pepsi
Wait, what? And why? A new leak has revealed that Pepsi — yes, that Pepsi — is making an Android phone. Android Headlines has spotted a listing for a new phone on a Chinese website called the Pepsi P1 that appears to be Pepsi’s first attempt at making its own smartphone. Despite selling for roughly $200, it looks like the device will have some decent specs.

Google Maps web app gets new UI: Say hello to Material Design
Material Design is one of the cornerstones of Google’s Android when it comes to overall design and user interface elements, and the company hasn’t been shy about wanting to use the same design principles for mobile and web apps. Google has slowly updated its mobile apps to Material Design surrounding Lollipop’s launch last year, and the company is moving forward with similar plans for the web. The overhauled design has now finally reached one of Google’s most prized possessions, the web version of Google Maps, which now mirrors the Android and iOS interface.

BlackBerry Priv pricing information and photos revealed in new leaks
BlackBerry’s first foray into the world of Android devices comes in the form of the upcoming BlackBerry Priv. Originally introduced in September, the lure of the device will reportedly be a melding of Android with traditional BlackBerry security and productivity features. Now whether or not users will care is another question entirely, but that’s the strategy that BlackBerry has opted to go all-in with.
Now we’ve already seen some official shots of the BlackBerry Priv surface over the past few weeks (see above), but derStandard over the weekend published new photos which provide our closest look yet at the hardware BlackBerry is hoping might keep it from abandoning the smartphone market altogether.

Liked Fargo (the movie and TV series)? The Big Lebowski? Burn After Reading? No Country for Old Men? You have the incredibly imaginative Ethan and Joel Coen to thank for these films, and many other ones. The brothers have also received Academy Awards for Fargo (in 1996) and No Country for Old Men (2008), so they know plenty about making movies, and about making movies the audience will love. With that in mind, it shouldn’t be surprising to see the Coen brothers’ working on a film about making movies. And the first trailer for the upcoming hilarious comedy/drama/musical is already out, revealing the plot and the incredible cast working with the Coens.
