2015 was a big year for Canadian UFO sightings, report says
Canada experienced a very high number of reported UFO sightings in 2015, according to an annual survey released by Winnipeg, Manitoba-based Ufology Research.
Chris Rutkowski, one of the researchers that compiled the survey, told CBC that reported sightings in Canada last year were the second highest since the survey began in 1989.
There were 1,267 reported sightings of UFOs in 2015, according to the report, up from 1,021 in 2014. The highest number of reported sightings was 1,981 in 2012. Survey researchers note that 2012 was the year of the so-called “end of the world” event associated with the ancient Mayan calendar, potentially fuelling interest in UFOs.

Worst idea ever? Texting will be officially allowed at the movies
I’ll admit right away that I do happen to read a text or two — and even reply to them — while at the movies. But I try to keep it to a minimum by screening everything through my Apple Watch beforehand. However, texting at the movies might become acceptable soon, at least in certain AMC Entertainment theaters in the U.S.

Recent Tesla hire might have spoiled one of the Model 3’s biggest surprises
BGR has learned that Tesla recently hired Milan Kovac, the former principal engineer over at Skully Systems. In case you’re unfamiliar, Skully is the company behind a futuristic motorcycle helmet with a built-in heads up display (HUD). While Tesla hires talented engineers all the time, Kovac’s background is particularly interesting given the recent unveiling of the Model 3 and its curiously sparse dashboard.
As we’ve detailed previously, the interior design of the Model 3 raised more than a few eyebrows due to its lack of a traditional instrument cluster. As the photo below demonstrates, the only place where a driver can ascertain his or her speed and other pertinent driving information is from the 15-inch video display on the center console. Notably, a Tesla rep at the Model 3 unveiling confirmed that the final production model will in fact lack a traditional instrument cluster.

James Cameron reveals that four ‘Avatar’ sequels are coming
