A discovery by archaeologists at a dig site in India has led to a years-long investigation into the deaths of a pair of long-dead lovers. A new research paper describes the discovery of two skeletons which were found side by sided in a grave thought to originate as far back as 4,500 BC.

The remains were found by researchers while excavating a site north of New Delhi, along with the skeletons of several others, but it’s the tale of the shared grave that has captured the most attention. The two individuals, a man in his 30s and woman in her early 20s, are now thought to have been married, but scientists are still left guessing what caused their deaths.

Sprint and T-Mobile will no longer sell real-time location data to third-parties

In the wake of a bombshell report detailing how carriers like Sprint and T-Mobile sell real-time location data of subscribers to third-parties, both of the aforementioned carriers have since come out and said that they will stop the practice immediately. While it’s long been known that carriers sell location data to certain third-parties for ostensibly reasonable purposes, the practice has become problematic because the data ultimately winds up in the wrong hands.

As an illustrative example, Joseph Cox of Motherboard managed to track down the real-time location of his friend (who was a willing participant in the experiment) for just $300. The report naturally caused concern amongst lawmakers and privacy advocates.

SanDisk earlier this week demoed a 4TB USB-C flash drive at CES 2019, but that’s the kind of prototype product we don’t expect to see in stores anytime soon. But if you’re looking for more storage solutions for your devices, you’ll want to be on the lookout for Lexar’s 1TB SD card that was just announced at the trade show.

That’s because this product is actually available for purchase in stores and online right now.

New leak brings great news about Samsung’s Galaxy Fold and 5G Galaxy S10

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

We don’t have too much longer to wait until the official reveal of the Galaxy S10, if recent reports are to be believed, but there’s still plenty of time for leaks to spoil what few surprises Samsung has managed to keep under wraps. This week, the battery capacities for both the Galaxy Fold and the 5G Galaxy S10 variant were seemingly revealed, filling in yet another corner of the puzzle that is Samsung’s massive 2019 phone lineup.

According to GalaxyClub, the 5G Galaxy S10 will feature a sizable 5,000 mAh battery (product code EB-BG977ABU), which it notes is the same size as the battery that Samsung uses in some of its budget devices. The Galaxy Fold, on the other hand, will come with two 3,100 mAh batteries — a combined capacity of 6,200 mAh.

Where Apple went wrong with the iPhone XR

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Is Apple’s iPhone XR a flop? Hardly. As Tim Cook emphasized during a recent interview, the iPhone XR has been the top-selling iPhone model every single day since it launched a little more than two months ago. That said, there’s no getting around the fact that the iPhone XR isn’t selling quite as well as Apple initially anticipated. So while the device certainly isn’t a colossal failure, it’s not exactly a runaway hit either.

In one respect, this is surprising, given that the iPhone XR is incredibly compelling from a features perspective. Truth be told, the iPhone XR arguably offers users more bang for the buck than any other iPhone Apple has ever released. That notwithstanding, there are two reasons why I believe the iPhone XR has failed to resonate with consumers to the degree Apple and analysts initially expected.

Amazon-owned Ring has reportedly been spying on customer camera feeds

If you own a Ring doorbell camera system, we’ve got some bad news. The smart home company owned by Amazon, which the Internet retail giant shelled out more than $1 billion to acquire, has apparently been violating its customers’ privacy in a pretty shocking way. A new report from The Intercept quotes unnamed sources who confirm that engineers and executives at Ring have “highly privileged access” to live customer camera feeds, utilizing both Ring’s doorbells as well as its in-home cameras.

Samuel L. Jackson reveals his favorite Avenger, besides Nick Fury

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Ahead of the much-anticipated arrival of Avengers: Endgame in theaters on April 26, the actor who plays the fan favorite super spy Nick Fury has revealed in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter which member of the team of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes happens to be his favorite.

Naturally, Samuel L. Jackson quips at first that his loyalties definitely lie with Nick Fury since — well, it’s obvious why. But then he coughs up his real answer, and it turns out that his favorite Avenger that he doesn’t portray happens to be former Russian spy Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow. An interesting choice, certainly, for lots of reasons including the fact that she’s one of the few to survive Thanos’ genocidal finger snap.

Did Samsung accidentally leak the design of the Galaxy S10 in a blog post?

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Samsung sent out media invites on Thursday morning for its next Unpacked event, confirming that the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Fold will be formally unveiled on February 20th in San Francisco, California. But by that point, there might not be much left to unveil, as in addition to all the rumors and reports that have flooded the internet in recent months, Samsung itself appears to have accidentally leaked the design of the Galaxy S10 on its website.

First spotted by Reddit user qgtx, a Samsung Newsroom post about the upcoming One UI interface was altered to remove an image that featured a smartphone which matched up suspiciously well with reports about the Galaxy S10. The original image — which you can see here — showcased a phone with thin bezels, curved edges, and a display hole for the front-facing camera. It has since been replaced with the image at the top of this article.
