Apple has gotten 2015 off to a resounding start, as the company said on Thursday that it shattered its record for weekly App Store sales in the first week of January 2015. Per Street Insider, Apple recorded nearly $500 million worth of sales for both apps and in-app purchases in just the first week of 2015 alone and Apple says that New Year’s Day this year also broke its record for total app purchases in a single day.
