A series of leaks in the past few weeks convinced Google to come out with an official Pixel 4 teaser that showed the phone’s rear design. Google confirmed the phone will have a multi-lens camera module on the back that will look a lot like the iPhone 11’s rumored camera design. Also, the teaser told us the phone will not feature a rear-facing fingerprint sensor, as has been the case with previous models. Google never showed us the front of the phone, but we’ve had plenty of leaks on the matter so far. And the latest set of renders shows us the upcoming Pixel 4 XL phone yet again, complete with its screen design.

A multi-state outbreak of Salmonella has been linked to papayas sourced from Mexico that are sold across the United States, according to a new bulletin from the Centers for Disease Control. The infections have resulted in over two dozen hospitalizations and, while no deaths have been reported, health officials are urging consumers to avoid the brand in question.

The alert highlights the brand Cavi as being the probable source of the outbreak. A previous warning suggested that all papayas from Mexico be avoided, but the CDC has since narrowed things down to just the Cavi brand.

Apple is expected to launch three new iPhone 11 models this fall, all generally featuring the same design as their predecessors. The new phones will deliver significant camera upgrades though, as the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR sequels will each pack an additional camera on the back. The phones will also feature better hardware, including the next-gen A13 processor, a version of which will also power the iPad Pro tablets that Apple will release later this year. I’ve been doing this for long enough to know how certain stories are going to play out. That’s why I knew a year before Samsung even announced the Galaxy Fold that it would be a piece of junk. Samsung Mobile truly shines when it comes to refining designs and technologies that are already mature. That’s why phones like the Galaxy S10 are market leaders in nearly every conceivable way. But when it comes to innovating with new designs and new technologies, Samsung is almost always a hot mess. The company makes huge, unforgivable design mistakes on first-generation products. On top of that, it often tries to rush things out the door in an effort to be first. That’s right, Samsung is literally the corporate embodiment of a YouTube commenter. Remember when rumors started to pick up that Apple was getting ready to release an “iTV” with Siri voice control, so Samsung announced a voice-controlled TV at CES the following year and rushed it out the door? First! That TV almost never responded to voice commands the way it was supposed to, and it now lays claim to one of the worst user experiences of the past decade. Now, the Galaxy Fold is the same story all over again.

When I made my Galaxy Fold prediction more than a year early, I endured an endless wave of whiny emails from Samsung fans… right up until they realized I was right. But perhaps the response to today’s prediction will be less abrasive since it’s so obvious. Are you among the many, many people out there whining about the rear camera setup on the new iPhone 11 design we’ve seen leak time and time again?
