An app released earlier this year called Popcorn Time caused quite a stir. Whereas downloading stolen movies with torrent applications had previously been something that “mainstream” users stayed away from, this “Netflix for pirates” app made stealing copyrighted movies and TV shows as easy as streaming a video on Netflix. The app provided a beautiful interface that rethought the multi-step, multi-app torrenting process and combined everything into one simple app.

Thanks to a new project spawned by Popcorn Time, the process has been further simplified and you don’t even need to install an app anymore.

I can distinctly remember a time when having a cellphone was not just anomaly, but something that elicited snide comments from people who couldn’t possibly fathom why anyone would need to be connected 24/7. During my freshman year of college, for instance, I remember a roommate with a cellphone being asked, on account of his fancy new toy, if he was a drug dealer. After all, what else in the world could possibly explain why an 18-year old might need a cellphone?

With 3D Touch positioned as the flagship feature on the iPhone 6s, Apple has started making more of a concerted effort to make it a central part of its expanding iPhone marketing push. Just last week, for instance, 3D Touch was the focal point of a brand new iPhone commercial starring Jamie Foxx. And now comes word that some flagship Apple Stores in New York City and San Francisco are being outfitted with special “force touch” tables that demonstrate, in a somewhat clever way, how 3D Touch works.
