You’ll never want to be near a fireworks store again after watching the insane fire in this video

%name You’ll never want to be near a fireworks store again after watching the insane fire in this video by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Hopefully, the fireworks displays you all beheld on Thursday as you celebrated the Fourth of July with family and friends were dazzling, firey and exciting displays of color that filled the night sky — displays that were also hopefully planned and very much controlled. Unlike a makeshift fireworks display that unfolded in Fort Mill, South Carolina on Thursday at a local store, Davey Jones and the House of Fireworks.

A fire there set off rockets and a huge stash of fireworks, sending everything exploding and shooting off wildly in uncontrollable bursts and pops above the store — in such a way that it may make some of you leery of ever being anywhere near one of these stores again, lest you be there for the next blaze that sets off a fireworks display.

There’s no way Anker AA batteries are supposed to be this cheap on Amazon

%name There’s no way Anker AA batteries are supposed to be this cheap on Amazon by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

For the past two days, we’ve been telling you about a crazy sale on Amazon that we thought was definitely a mistake. 24-count boxes of Anker AAA batteries typically sell for $13 a box, but Amazon slashed them to $8.99 and then ALSO added a huge coupon that further chopped the price to $6 and change. Similarly, 24-count boxes of Anker AA batteries sell for $16, but they dropped to $10.99 and ANOTHER huge coupon further cut the price to $8.46. Well, we’ve got good news and bad news. The good news is Amazon fixed the mistake on the AAA batteries, so the sale price is back up to $8.99 (which is obviously still a ridiculously good price). But the good news is that Amazon hasn’t yet caught the error on the AA batteries, so you can still grab a box for $8.46!

People have serious complaints about ‘Stranger Things,’ but it has nothing to do with how good season 3 is

%name People have serious complaints about ‘Stranger Things,’ but it has nothing to do with how good season 3 is by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

A new research study from the Truth Initiative reveals that Netflix is the worst media offender when it comes to depicting smoking on-screen. After analyzing Netflix programs aimed at viewers in the 15-24 age range, the research found that a slew of Netflix originals feature characters smoking cigarettes in a majority of episodes. What’s more, the depiction of characters smoking — both on Netflix and on broadcast TV — appears to be on the rise.

During the 2015-2016 season of The Walking Dead, for example, a character was shown smoking in about 38% of the episodes. In the following season, that figure jumped all the way up to 94%. The worst offender, though, was Stranger Things, with the research finding that every single episode of Stranger Things in season 1 and 2 featured a character smoking.

Samsung has been working on new smartphone designs that are unlike anything we’ve seen before

%name Samsung has been working on new smartphone designs that are unlike anything we’ve seen before by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

For a few months now, a prominent Samsung insider teased smartphone designs unlike anything we’ve seen before, prompting us to wonder whether he was teasing the Galaxy Note 10 or something else. We know now that the Note 10 will feature the same design language Samsung used for the Galaxy S10, with a few minor changes to help customers tell the two apart. So Samsung’s next flagship can’t deliver the breakthrough design the leaker in question kept mentioning. However, he has now posted leaked images of alleged display prototypes that reveal Samsung has been working on phones with curved displays that don’t look anything like what we’ve seen so far from any Galaxy S or Note series phones.

Quentin Tarantino reveals ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ could be his last film

%name Quentin Tarantino reveals ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ could be his last film by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

For years, writer and director Quentin Tarantino has been threatening to retire following the completion of his tenth film. Nearly thirty years into his directing career, his ninth movie — Once Upon a Time in Hollywood — is just weeks from its theatrical release, but despite all the praise it received at the Cannes Film Festival in May, and regardless of its potential success at the box office, Tarantino seems to be considering an early retirement.
