Windows 10 is Microsoft’s hottest new product, with tens of millions of Windows users having installed it in the first month after release. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Windows 10 is a free upgrade for most users. Since launching the new platform, Microsoft had to release a number of updates to address various bugs and issues with the young operating system, but the company is also working on the first non-patch update for the OS.

Unfortunately, a new report says the Windows 10 “Threshold 2” update has been delayed until November rather than October, as initially planned.

The Apple rumor mill this week took a short break from all things iPhone related to deliver a startling revelation about Apple potentially wanting to develop and produce its own lineup of original programming.

According to one source who spoke to Variety, Apple is exploring the idea of creating “development and production divisions” capable of churning out long-form content “in a bid to compete with Netflix.”

With that bombshell of a rumor now dangling overhead, I thought it’d be helpful to take a look at how much it would cost Apple to get into the TV production business. As a yardstick, I took a look at the costs involved in producing some of the more popular long-form TV shows that have aired over the past few years. Suffice it to say, TV production is not cheap. At the same time, Apple is essentially printing money at this point so perhaps that won’t be much of an issue.

Let’s dive in and look at the numbers.

Two weeks ago, Spotify updated its privacy policy with language that ignited a wave of backlash from faithful users, as the company almost suggested it’ll collect even more data about you and use it for different purposes, some related to new Spotify features and others potentially related to advertising. The company, via its CEO, immediately explained that it’ll get that data only if you agree to hand it over, putting to rest the privacy-related concerns.

However, Spotify made new changes to its privacy policy, further clarifying the language.

If there’s one surefire way to drum up interest in a movie or documentary, try using the court system to have the entire project scrapped. In an obvious lesson that many companies are still learning the hard way, most efforts to prevent a film from being seen will only serve to increase awareness and overall viewership down the line.

So it goes with BBC’s Grand Theft Auto docudrama dubbed The Gamechangers. Starring Daniel Radcliffe as Rockstar Games president Sam Houser, The Gamechangers chronicles development studio’s battles with the litigious (and since disbarred) Jack Thompson over video game violence.

The last thing I’d want to do before appearing on the debut episode of a talk show is make the host angry with me, but that’s exactly what Jeb Bush did this week when he announced a contest to fly one lucky campaign contributor out to New York to see The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Sounds reasonable enough — so why is Stephen Colbert unhappy?

Bush never consulted him about the contest.
