Activated via the recent iOS 8.1 update, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus’ new contactless payment functionality better known as Apple Pay is only available to U.S. customers at this time, at least according to Apple. But MacRumors reveals that Apple Pay also works internationally, but a small trick is required to enable it.

We’ve seen a lot of iPhone 6 cases pop up on Kickstarter lately, but this one still looks like something special. The Rhinoshield Crash Guard is a new case that’s being pitched as a “slim profile bumper case that provides amazing drop protection for the iPhone 5/5S/5C, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. Protection that does NOT compromise on the original design.” The case’s Kickstarter fundraiser has already exceeded its original goal of £6,000 and has now raised more than £100,000. The Chinese government is currently staging an attack on Apple’s iCloud, according to Internet censorship monitor Greatfire.org. The report claims that this main-in-the-middle (MITM) attack is an attempt to gain access to the private information of Chinese citizens, including texts, pictures and contacts. The attack coincides with the launch of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in China.

Apple is far from launching its first smartwatch in stores, but once it starts selling its various Apple Watch models it might not brag with sales numbers as it usually does with its most popular products. Specifically, Business Insider points out that the Apple Watch won’t have its own product category, at least when it comes to announcing quarterly results, as the device will be part of a category of devices that also includes the Apple TV and iPods.

Motorola, HTC and Sony have already mentioned plans to upgrade some devices to Android 5.0 Lollipop, but Samsung, which doesn’t have a great track record when it comes to providing timely Android updates to its devices, has yet to say anything on the matter. However, in a new post on Twitter promoting the Galaxy Note 4 phablet, the company seems to be hinting at a future Lollipop update for the device.

After previewing OS X 10.10 Yosemite this past summer during its annual WWDC developer conference, Apple finally released its new desktop software to an eager public last week. Yosemite features a complete visual overhaul and plenty of new functionality as well, but the most talked-about new feature set is definitely Continuity, which is a series of features that integrate Mac computers more deeply with iPhones and iPads.
