The Federal Trade Commission just brought down the hammer on AT&T for allegedly misleading “millions” of smartphone users with promises of unlimited data plans. In a complaint filed in a federal court on Tuesday, the FTC alleged that AT&T has been misleading its own subscribers “by charging them for ‘unlimited’ data plans while reducing their data speeds, in some cases by nearly 90 percent.”

While Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop is finally official, that doesn’t mean it’s available for Nexus devices yet. The company has recently released an updated preview version of Lollipop for the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 7, with the final version set to hit all Nexus devices at some point in the following month. Before everyone finally got their hands on the iPhone 6 Plus, it wasn’t uncommon to hear concerns about its size. iPhone users that hadn’t been acquainted with a phablet pictured something along the lines of a phone just marginally smaller than the iPad mini, which, of course, was more than a slight exaggeration.

Motorola’s new Droid Turbo came from out of nowhere when it first leaked last month, and now the handset is official. We have repeatedly referred to it as the surprise of the fall season and now that it’s here, everything we knew from leaks and rumors that began trickling out just a short while ago has been confirmed: Motorola and Verizon Wireless’ new Droid smartphone is an absolute beast.
Following the device’s unveiling during a Verizon press conference on Tuesday, I spent some time with the new Droid Turbo to see how it stacks up against the competition.

After an iPhone 6 picture from China suggested earlier this week that Apple may have built some special 32GB iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units, which are on display in a few stores in the region, French publication Consomac has been able to find out more details about said device and has even confirmed its existence in the process. Unfortunately, there’s no good news for potential iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus buyers looking for 32GB versions.

Apple Pay is encouraging people to leave their credit cards in their wallets and pay for goods in stores using an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus now, or an Apple Watch in the future. According to Tim Cook’s recent comments, more than 1 million cards have already been activated on Apple Pay in the first three days. On the other hand, the MCX group of retailers that includes big brands such as Walmart, Best Buy, Gap, CVS, and others, are working on a different wireless payments solution that doesn’t even need credit cards or NFC, and thus is not supporting Apple Pay. Regardless whether you like Apple Pay, or any other alternative, it’s clear that credit cards won’t go away anytime soon, and credit card killer Plastc has just proved that.
