After a security report revealed that iPhone users in Asia were at risk at having their devices infected with an advanced malware program that can be used to steal data from devices after they’re connected to a previously infected MacBook, Apple told Business Insider that it has already patched the serious security issue.

Samsung fans, we have good news and better news. The good news is that Samsung is hard at work preparing a big Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its smartphone lineup — and not just its latest phones, but last year’s popular handsets as well. The better news is that Samsung is much further along in the process than you might assume. In fact, it’s so far along that a very stable version of Samsung’s Android 5.0 build for the Galaxy S4 has leaked, and we can see the new software in action along with Samsung’s redesigned TouchWiz user interface in a new video that hit the web on Friday.

Microsoft’s Office for iPad product was a great success last year, but the company did not bring its famous productivity suite to Android tablets at the same time. There are many Windows Phone Lumia handsets in stores, but these devices still have Nokia branding, which Microsoft has to ditch. However, that’s about to soon change, as the company next week will release its first ever Lumia handset that doesn’t have Nokia written anywhere on it. After confirming a few weeks ago that credit card details for more than 56 million customers were stolen by hackers who managed to breach Home Depot’s security system in a sophisticated Target-like manner, the retail store on Thursday also confirmed that as many as 53 million email addresses were also stolen by attackers, The New York Times reports.

Soon after that, 9to5Mac refuted those claims, saying that Apple is aware of the “rare bug” and that the problem is not related to NAND flash memory.
In a new report, Digitimes agreed with 9to5Mac‘s findings, saying that the memory controller is unlikely to be the cause of this particular iPhone 6 Plus problem.
