HP has a brand new laptop model to take on the MacBook Air, the EliteBook Folio 1020 that’s even thinner than Apple’s ultra portable notebook. The new HP laptop weighs just 2.2 pounds and is 15.7mm thick, but Engadget reports that a slightly heavier 2.6-pound version will also be available in stores next year when the EliteBook Folio 1020 launches.
Comparatively, the 13.3-inch MacBook Air measures 17mm at its thickest point, and weighs 2.96 pounds.

Asher Vollmer, the developer of popular iPhone puzzle game Threes, has a new challenge in mind for gamers, and this time around he’s going after a different kind of gaming experience on a different platform. Vollmer’s Close Castles is a new real-time strategy game that’s going to be available on PlayStation 4, according to a post written on the PlayStation blog by the developer.

Sony Pictures was hit by unknown hackers last week who managed to steal various sensitive information, including high-quality digital versions of several unreleased Sony movies, prompting the FBI to issue a five-page warning to certain U.S. businesses regarding a new type of “destructive” malware. As much as big consumer electronics companies would like you to think smart watches are already the next big thing, consumers haven’t really shown much interest in the devices. Even Samsung and its massive multi-billion dollar marketing budget hasn’t been able to move the needle, selling just a few hundred thousand units here and there.
Just about every Apple analyst on the planet things that the upcoming Apple Watch will finally break the mold, and Apple will sell double-digit millions within the device’s first year of availability. Only time will tell if consumers will actually bite — remember, all these predictions are being made before we really know anything at all about how the Apple Watch will work.
