As we reported on Monday, Android Lollipop has finally begun rolling out to Galaxy S5 handsets in the United States. Verizon Wireless subscribers with Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S5 smartphone are the first S5 owners in the U.S. to gain access to the new Android update, which features a number of great changes including speed improvements, better battery life and a new TouchWiz interface based on Google’s Material Design guidelines.

For Galaxy S5 users on other U.S. wireless carriers, the wait continues. This is precious little consolation if you’re stuck on KitKat, but a new video tour of Lollipop on the Galaxy S5 will at least give you a good taste of what you’re in store for.

What’s even crazier might be the fact that the lion’s share of Apple’s $74.6 billion in revenue is from sales of the iPhone, a product that didn’t even exist eight years ago.

A running joke in the tech community is to poke fun at all of the new startups that claim to be “an Uber for X,” where “X” is anything from pet grooming to prostitution. Well Google, which is already a major investor in Uber, is supposedly developing a ride-sharing program of its own that integrates its self-driving cars venture — that’s what Bloomberg is saying, at least, suggesting there’s plenty of concern at Uber over Google’s future plans.

On the other hand, The Wall Street Journal reports the news is “blown out of proportion.”

When it’s not busy running Apple attack ads that generally miss the mark by a pretty wide margin, Microsoft has gotten exceptionally good at creating commercials that move us by showcasing the software giant’s softer side. After all, Microsoft is much more than Windows and Office. The company’s software and hardware enables solutions that push technology further than it has ever gone before. As a result, Microsoft often plays a huge role in enabling people to do things that would have been impossible just a few short years ago.

Microsoft surprised us all with the best commercial of the Super Bowl in 2014, and now the company is back with the most moving TV ad of Super Bowl XLIX.
