TSA security checks can easily be fooled, Homeland Security finds
An undercover operation conducted by Homeland Security Red Teams revealed that TSA security checks are far from working like they’re supposed to, with airport officials failing to discover mock explosives and banned weapons in 95% of the trials.

The blows keep coming for Jay Z’s Tidal
No matter how bad you mess something up, you’ll probably never screw up anything as badly as Jay Z and company have screwed up the launch of Tidal. Last week, we saw reports saying that Tidal was in danger of losing the rights to stream artists from Sony’s catalog — including the songs of Jay Z’s wife and flagship Tidal artist Beyoncé — unless it forked over a big advance that the company was having trouble finding money to pay. Music Business News has filled in some more of the details on this story and it looks like Tidal still hasn’t come up with the cash to pay off Sony.

The Senate just crippled the NSA’s spying program
Intelligence agencies in the U.S. won’t be able to use some of their highly sophisticated spying programs on Americans as easily as before, as certain portions of the Patriot Act have just expired on Sunday just before midnight, after the U.S. Senate decided not to extend them.

Uber drivers will soon be able to track your location… with your permission, thankfully
Have you ever requested an Uber, only to realize seconds later that it’d be much easier to get picked up a few streets over? If you’ve used Uber in the past, you’ll know that the app drops a pin on the map for the driver to follow, but following recent changes to the privacy policy, drivers will now be able to track your location if you give them permission to do so.

LEGO’s answer to Minecraft is now available on Steam for $14.99
There have been countless Minecraft knockoffs since the indie game phenomenon exploded on to the scene a few years ago, but there’s one that might be able to move the needle. On Monday, following a week full of rumors, LEGO and TT Games launched a new, open-world game called LEGO Worlds in Early Access on Steam.

Apple Watch’s latest bug is actually a feature, according to Apple
Soon after Apple released Watch OS 1.0.1 for its smartwatch, fitness enthusiasts noticed that the Watch isn’t measuring heart rate data every 10 minutes anymore, as it did prior to the update. Many assumed this was simply an Apple oversight that would be fixed in an upcoming maintenance update, but it turns out that might not be the case.

Apple’s anticipated TV subscription service has been delayed
With just one week before WWDC kicks off in San Francisco, one of the Apple announcements many folks were looking forward to the most has reportedly been delayed.
For months now, we’ve been hearing rumors of Apple rolling out a TV subscription service aimed at undercutting traditional cable TV providers with a more wallet-friendly $30-$40 pricepoint. Now comes word via Re/Code that licensing and money issues have pushed back Apple’s TV plans, perhaps as far back as 2016.
