Bad decisions, bad policies and bad public relations had gamers raging right from the console’s unveiling all the way up to its release. Sony’s PlayStation 4 took an early lead in the next-generation console war as a result, and the Xbox One hasn’t been able to make up the ground it lost in those early days.

Many of the Xbox One’s wrongs have been righted at this point. In fact, some of Microsoft’s biggest mistakes were corrected even before the console debuted. And now, Microsoft used E3 2015 to set to stage for the next phase in what could be a comeback for the ages for the Xbox One.

In today’s age of viral video, it’s not too often that we come across something that’s truly jaw dropping. This is that something. The following video features singer David Achter de Molen, from the Dutch band John Coffey, crowd-walking during a concert when, out of the blue, someone slings a full cup of beer in his direction. Warning: If you’re a fan of video games — even a casual gaming fan — we’re not sure there is anything that can prepare you for how insanely awesome the demo video you’re about to watch is.

Microsoft held its huge press event at the annual E3 conference earlier today, and there were several highlights from the show. First and foremost, the company announced that the Xbox One will be backward compatible with Xbox 360 games before the holidays this year. That was enough to make Xbox fans positively giddy, but Microsoft was only getting started.

There’s plenty to be excited about from Microsoft’s E3 2015 event, but there was one demo in particular that riled the audience up more than anything else: Minecraft for Microsoft’s HoloLens.

In case you don’t remember, Microsoft introduced a bunch of new restrictions for the Xbox One that didn’t exist with the Xbox 360 — such as a requirement to log onto the web once a day to play games and restrictions on selling used games — without giving any sort of coherent explanation for why those new rules had to be in place. The backlash was so fierce that Microsoft spent the next several months reversing its decisions and scrambling furiously to get back in gamers’ good graces.
