Arby’s, the fast food chain that was a frequent target of The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart, paid tribute to the departing host this week by releasing a montage of all the times Stewart bashed their food on air. The clips are played with the theme “Thank You for Being a Friend” from The Golden Girls playing in the background.

Former Sprint CEO Dan Hesse didn’t exactly turn Sprint into a dynamo under his watch, but you can’t really blame him for that. After all, his tenure as CEO was hindered from the very start by the poor choices that Sprint had made prior to his arrival, most notably the decision to acquire Nextel and the decision to go with WiMAX over LTE as the carrier’s 4G technology. In an interview with Fierce Wireless, Hesse explains how fixing these costly mistakes actually made things worse in the short term in ways that he hadn’t imagined.

In a letter to shareholders published yesterday evening, Tesla confirmed that the hotly anticipated Model X will, in fact, launch in September. While there were already rumors pointing to a September launch floating around the web, it’s reassuring to hear the news directly from Tesla given the company’s history of perpetually pushing back launch dates.

One of the main features of Windows 10 is Microsoft’s voice-based virtual assistant Cortana, which has been ported from Windows Phone to the desktop. In fact, Microsoft beat Apple and Google when it came to adding voice assistant features to its PC operating system.

Comcast is not a well loved company in the United States. Somewhat paradoxically, however, Comcast also happens to be the ISP with the fastest overall speeds of any nationwide provider in the country. SpeedTest.net this week announced its first-ever awards for ISPs in the U.S. and it found that Comcast’s Xfinity was the fastest overall service with an average download speed of just under 105Mbps and an average upload speed of 12.7Mbps.

After this weekend, True Detective’s rocky second season will finally be over. But despite the fact that many of us haven’t been all that enthused with season 2, there’s no question that it’s preferable to have a suspenseful HBO drama to watch on Sunday night than not. A NASA camera on the Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) satellite has captured a series of stunning images of the Moon passing the Earth’s sunlit side.
The images were captured last month by NASA’s Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC), a four megapixel camera and telescope.

After an impressive 16-season run, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart will air its final show this coming Thursday. While we’ve certainly seen no shortage of retrospectives highlighting all of the laughs and crazy show moments that took place over the last decade and a half, one of the more intriguing aspects of The Daily Show, I think, is that the program was an absolute star making machine.
Look backing, the sheer number of top notch comedians, media personalities, and actors who got their start on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is impressive. Sure, most people might recognize Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell as two stars who honed their comedy chops on the show, but the program’s all-star lineup of former cast members runs much deeper.
