The first iPhone 6s reviews agree that this year’s iPhone is much better than last year’s model, even if it’s just an “S” generation. Though it kept the same design for one more year, Apple made several improvements under the hood – it actually also changed the hood, making both the metal shell and front glass panel more resistant to breaks. In fact, when looking at the differences between the various iPhone models and their corresponding S variations, we concluded that the iPhone 6s is the biggest “S” upgrade in Apple’s history.

The following images will succinctly illustrate that this is indeed the case.

It’s hard to believe T-Mobile was once the only major U.S. carrier not selling the iPhone in stores, considering how insane its iPhone 6s offers are. The ‘uncarrier’ has some of the best iPhone 6s prices in the world – we already told you how good they are – but things get even better if you’re willing to trade in a functional iPhone or other smartphone. The newer the device, the more money you’ll save, and you may end up spending as little as $5 per month for a new iPhone 6s.

One of the most notable new features the iPhone 6s has to offer is a significantly improved camera that, for the first time in years, will feature more megapixels. Apple’s two new handsets have 12-megapixel rear-facing cameras and 5-megapixel front-facing cameras, with the iPhone 6s Plus also sporting optical image stabilization for both photos and videos. Other interesting iOS 9 camera features include support for 4K video recording, Live Photos, various recording modes for video and a front-facing camera flash.

The first iPhone 6s benchmarks have emerged from a lucky buyer who received her handset a few days before the official September 25th launch date. The Geekbench 3 tests showed the Apple’s new flagship is significantly faster than last year’s iPhone 6. Even more impressive is the fact that the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have almost the same scores as this year’s Retina MacBook laptops, both in single-core and multi-core tests.

An iPhone 6s review further shows that the iPhone 6s handsets indeed have stellar performance, obliterating top competitors, including the Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5, and other flagship Android handsets from the competition.
