The FBI took on Apple and lost, but it’s still looking for ways to persuade tech companies to give it back doors to encrypted devices. However, the extra attention the encryption debate received in the past few weeks won’t work in the FBI’s favor. The most recent service to announce end-to-end encryption is WhatsApp, Facebook’s most popular messaging app.

Not everyone minds spending a little extra money for a good-looking, high-quality product. In fact, paying a premium for a better quality of product is something that many Apple customers are likely used to, especially if they shop at the Apple Store. When it comes to accessories though, Apple doesn’t always offer high-quality stuff even when they charge more than everyone else. A good example is Lightning cables — Apple’s pricy cables break all the time.

Next time you need a Lightning cable for your iPhone or iPad, grab a Native Union BELT Braided Lightning Cable instead of one from Apple. It looks better, it feels better and it will last much longer.

If you’ve flown across the country at any point in the past couple of years, you’ve probably come into contact with the Transportation Security Administration’s Randomizer app on the iPad. It’s an incredibly simplistic app that decides which lane you’re going to stand in while you wait to pass through security.

What you might not know is that the TSA paid $1.4 million for the app.

There’s something brewing over at Nest and it ain’t pretty. Though once one of Google’s more promising acquisitions, the company that helped put a friendly face on devices like thermostats and smoke alarms has reportedly lost its way. Not only has the company been unable to come up with any new type of innovative hardware, recent reports indicate that the Alphabet subsidiary is practically bleeding money while continuing to lose key talent.

A star was born last week when an animated version of Donald Trump debuted on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Although the concept doesn’t need much explanation, but here’s an abridged one: Trump’s comments have become so outlandish that he’s turned into a “cartoonish version of himself,” according to Colbert. Earlier this week, Amazon held a killer one-day sale on a top-rated 55″ 4K Ultra HD TV from Samsung. This gorgeous LED TV set has a 4.2-star rating with more than 550 customer reviews, and it includes all of the smart features you want in a flat-panel from Samsung.

Tesla Model 3 is missing an important feature that no one is talking about

%name Tesla Model 3 is missing an important feature that no one is talking about by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Tesla’s Model 3 introduction last week couldn’t have gone any better. Thus far, consumer interest in the Model 3 has been beyond exceptional, with the most recent tally indicating that more than 276,000 people have already put down $1,000 to secure a reservation for the car.

While Elon Musk has promised us that there will be more announcements about the Model 3 in the months to come, there’s one unique aspect of the Model 3 that, for whatever reason, hasn’t really attracted that much attention. Put simply, the Model 3 lacks an instrument panel (or instrument cluster as it’s called in the industry), a fixture of nearly every car that has ever existed.
