John Legere might literally be the first — and likely last — American telecom CEO to have his own personality cult. Research firm Comlinkdata has analyzed 2.7 million of social media messages posted on Twitter for the past three years of people who said that they were switching to a rival carrier and found that “John Legere” was one of the more commonly cited reasons for people switching from AT&T, Verizon and Sprint.

One of the coolest features of Yosemite, is Continuity / Handoff, which lets iOS and OS X device users continue a certain action even after switching devices — including placing phone calls and sending regular text messages on a Mac. Unfortunately, not all Macs and MacBook models can support it, as older models do not have Bluetooth 4.0 LE chips inside. Luckily, after some digging, a Mac user revealed on MacRumors‘ forum that 2011 MacBook Pros can support Continuity / Handoff features after a little tinkering.

Brian Krebs, the man who originally reported the Home Depot data breach earlier this year, now believes that Staples has been subjected to a data breach of its own. Krebs says that at least six banks noticed a pattern of debit and credit card fraud in several Staples branches, indicating that card data might have been accessed.

Three weeks after the launch of the Windows 10 Technical Preview, Microsoft is rolling out the first new build to members of the Windows Insider Program. Build 9860, as Microsoft has so eloquently named it, comes to Insiders automatically through Windows Update. As long as your computer is on or sleeping, the update will download and install on its own.

Releasing an original rhythm game in 2014 is a bold move; the age of the plastic peripheral has passed, and rhythm games are reliant on either controllers or cameras to work. Developers have to understand and account for the limitations of those accessories, but rather than concede to the shifting sands, Harmonix took the evolution of the genre in stride with Dance Central, its third consecutive hit series and the first to prominently feature the Kinect.

Activated via the recent iOS 8.1 update, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus’ new contactless payment functionality better known as Apple Pay is only available to U.S. customers at this time, at least according to Apple. But MacRumors reveals that Apple Pay also works internationally, but a small trick is required to enable it.
