Samsung has surprised some Galaxy S5 owners by already rolling out the first official Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the handset (build version LRX21T), SamMobile reports. But the download is that the new software only available to a very limited number of users in one region so far.

Apple is on trial this month, having to defend against allegations that it broke antitrust laws and stifled competition in the music players and downloads businesses with its iPod and iTunes practices. The Wall Street Journal reports that attorneys for the plaintiffs on Wednesday told jurors that between 2007 and 2009 Apple regularly deleted music from iPods that stored downloads from other services, without telling users what was going on.

Skyfall was easily the best James Bond movie of the modern era, and the $1.1 billion it raked in globally certainly supports that notion. Now, after what has seemed like a painfully long wait despite the fact that Skyfall premiered just two years ago, the film’s sequel finally has a name, a cast, and a release date.

Sony Pictures has been the victim of a massive cyber attack a few days ago, with hackers having stolen as much as 100 terabytes of data including various unreleased Sony movies, and plenty of business and personnel data. After investigating the matter, Sony appears to be convinced that North Korea was behind the attack, but the country has denied any involvement after previously refusing to flat-out deny such allegations.

It’s been less than a week since the exciting new Star Wars trailer came out but fans who still feel understandably burned by Jar-Jar Binks have already found something to whine about: The major redesign of the films’ iconic light sabers. You see, instead of being a straight-up light saber as in the old movies, the new films show a contraption that looks more like a light bastard sword with two extra little light sabers that stick out from the sword’s main hilt, as you can see in the photo above.

The merger between Comcast and Time Warner Cable has never been popular and now a major coalition has formed to finally drive a stake through its heart and spread holy water on its ashes. Re/code points out that a new group called StopMegaComcast has just sprouted up and it includes both public interest groups and rival pay TV providers who are united in their opposition to a merger between America’s two most hated companies.

According to reliable information obtained by Kotaku, the next entry in the Assassin’s Creed series will be set in London’s Victorian era and is currently in development at Ubisoft’s Quebec studio. Assassin’s Creed Victory, as it is currently known, will release next fall exclusively for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
