The sheer volume of content Netflix provides for just a few dollars a month is staggering. But what makes Netflix truly unique is its commitment towards increasing an already extensive library of exclusive and compelling content. In addition to original shows like House of Cards and Orange Is the New Black, Netflix has also been known to revive cancelled shows, with Arrested Development being the most prominent example.

Looking ahead, Netflix’s stable of exclusive content is about to get that much bigger with news that the company picked up the recently cancelled Canadian teen drama Degrassi, itself a generational offshoot of the iconic Degrassi Junior High which had a successful run during the late 80s and early 90s.

In the wake of Apple’s WWDC announcements, a new video aims to show why the Apple of today is no longer the innovative company it once was. As you’ll see below, the video cherry picks a number of recently introduced iOS features and services that have existed on other mobile platforms for years now.

While the notion that Apple has lost is innovative spirit is absurd (more on that later), there were a few moments during the keynote where I thought to myself, “Hmmm, I’ve definitely seen this before.”

There were plenty of flashy reveals at the WWDC 2015 keynote on Monday, but one of the least heralded announcements could change the way we download apps forever. On Wednesday, Touch Arcade pointed out that iOS users no longer need to subscribe to Apple’s $99/year developer program to run apps with the newly released Xcode 7 beta.

This might not sound very exciting, but the implications are huge.

The past few weeks have been quite busy for developers and technology fans in general. First, Google’s annual Google I/O conference brought us a look at all the new software we can expect to see from Google in 2015. Then, Apple’s WWDC 2015 keynote gave us glimpses at iOS 9, OS X El Capitan, WatchOS 2, Apple Music and more.

Few people would argue that Apple came away the big winner when it comes to generating buzz, as expected. But that doesn’t mean Google’s announcements were duds — far from it. In fact, Google showed off some impressive new stuff at I/O, and now it’s time to see how one of the company’s most impressive new features stands up to iOS 9.

Apple on Monday released iOS 9 beta 1 to anyone who has access to a developer account, and the company will soon launch a public beta for iOS that will allow curious iOS users to run early versions of the software ahead of its official debut this fall. However, beta versions are buggy and there will always be reasons for switching back to a more stable iOS 8.x version.

The HTC One M9 isn’t a bad device by any stretch of the imagination but it’s nonetheless going to go down as one of the biggest smartphone disasters ever alongside the Amazon Fire Phone and the BlackBerry Storm. How bad has the One M9 been for HTC? Consider that since it first unveiled the One M9 back in March, HTC’s shares have lost nearly half of their value. Seriously: On March 2nd, HTC’s share price stood at NT$149. Today, it’s hovering in the NT$75 range.

The WWDC keynote is finally behind us and Apple Music is officially the latest entrant into the competitive streaming music market. While Apple spent a good deal of time yesterday detailing the myriad of features that differentiate its own music service from the rest of the pack, there’s one significant metric that Apple didn’t even have time to mention — the size of its music library.
