In typical Microsoft fashion, the weeks leading up to the July 29 launch of Windows 10 has been fraught will confusion and, at times, contradictory information. Even an issue as seemingly straight forward as upgrade eligibility has been subject to changing speculation.

One of the most nerve-wracking parts of a flight for many people is takeoff. Once the plane is at cruising altitude, everything’s all right, but until then, you’re completely off-balance and you can’t even open your laptop to distract you from the fact that you’re floating five miles above the planet’s surface in a metal tube.
Sure, it only takes a few minutes, but as you’re about to see, there are jets out there that can do it a lot faster.

Tesla is known for delivering cars that have crazy acceleration, but it’s newest upgrade to the Model S P85D is positively ludicrous. Tesla on Friday announced an upgrade to its Model S car that will give it a range of 300 miles per charge and let it accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a “ludicrous” 2.8 seconds. In fact, this acceleration is so impressive that Tesla is literally calling it “Ludicrous Mode.”

Yesterday I had some fun with Forbes contributor Gordon Kelly, who wrote an article that raised some questions about Microsoft’s plans for Windows 10. My issue with Kelly’s piece was that the possible scenarios he outlined — such as Microsoft giving away Windows 10 and then charging money to continue using it after two years — were completely outlandish because they would be commercial suicide on Microsoft’s part. Microsoft has done plenty of tone deaf things over the years but I’ve never known them to go out of their way to drive customers to rivals (although they certainly came close with their disastrous opening pitch for the Xbox One).

What’s the worst thing about the iPhone 6, you ask? The limited storage available to the user on the 16GB base versions of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is a frequent answer for many iPhone users. Will Apple “fix” this problem this year by removing the 16GB option and offering users who want the cheapest iPhone 6s models 32GB of storage? A new report seems to say that might be the case.

Funerals are always sad occasions but they don’t have to be depressing — remember Jim Henson’s request that mourners at his funeral not wear any black, for example. In fact, the best funerals aren’t just about expressions of grief but celebrations of someone’s life while they were here. The Guardian brings us the story of a truly awesome funeral held for one Halloween enthusiast in the United Kingdom in which mourners dress up as Darth Vader, Beetlejuice, the Tasmanian Devil and more.

What are your plans for the weekend? Thinking about buying a ticket to Marvel’s new flick, Ant-Man? Not a bad idea — I really enjoyed it — but before you run off to the theater, it’s probably worth watching this “exclusive” clip that Paul Rudd shared with Conan O’Brien earlier this week.

It’s been a fairly boring season for iPhone-related leaks, most likely because the next-gen iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will both look a lot like the devices that Apple released last fall. Nonetheless, Nowhereelse.fr directs our attention to new photos posted by Future Supplier that purportedly show the rear casing of the upcoming iPhone 6s Plus. Unsurprisingly, the device’s rear shell looks very similar to the iPhone 6 Plus, as you’ll see below.
